Nutritional Outcomes in HPV‐Associated Oropharyngeal Squamous Cell Carcinoma After Transoral Robotic Surgery

open access: yesThe Laryngoscope, EarlyView.
This study evaluates how TORS, with or without adjuvant treatment, impacts swallowing and weight loss. Adjuvant treatment following TORS is associated with significantly greater long‐term weight loss but does not significantly alter swallowing outcomes. Longer duration of nasogastric tube dependence in the postoperative period is associated with higher

Electrohydrodynamic Jetting of Mucoadhesive Protein Nanoparticles as a Chemopreventive Strategy for Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma

open access: yesMacromolecular Bioscience, EarlyView.
Electrohydrodynamic jetting is used for encapsulation of highly apolar agents in protein nanoparticles (PNPs). Interfacial complexation of the protein nanoparticles with polycations introduces mucoadhesive properties to address challenges in chemopreventive and targeted drug delivery.

Non‐Porous Hydrogel Scaffolds for Locoregional Chemotherapy: A One‐Pot Synthesis Approach

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, EarlyView.
This hydrogel scaffold with tunable mechanical, water retention, degradation, and drug release properties is obtained by polymerizing the hydrophilic OEGMEMA monomer in the presence of PLGA and DOX under concentrated conditions. Its non‐porous structure provides diffusion‐based drug release, while extended drug release is possible by incorporating PLGA.
