Reproducibility of 5 Methods of Ocular Tonometry
Ophthalmology Glaucoma, 2019To evaluate the agreement between Goldmann applanation tonometry (GAT; Haag-Streit, Bern, Switzerland) and several portable tonometers that could be used for glaucoma screening programs.Evaluation of a diagnostic test.Three hundred twenty-one eyes of 168 participants seeking treatment at the glaucoma clinic of a tertiary eye hospital in India ...

Comparing Applanation Tonometry and Rebound Tonometry in Glaucomatous and Ocular Hypertensive Eyes
European Journal of Ophthalmology, 2011Purpose TO describe Goldmann applanation tonometer (GAT) and rebound tonometer (RT) agreement in measuring intraocular pressure (IOP) in glaucomatous and ocular hypertensive (OH) eyes and to evaluate central corneal thickness (CCT) influence on RT readings. Methods A total of 347 eyes were enrolled and IOP measured between 9 and 11 am.

Untersuchungen zur Okulopressions-Tonometrie
Klinische Monatsblätter für Augenheilkunde, 1990A new method has recently been suggested for the determination of the outflow resistance in the anterior chamber angle. In this method the intraocular pressure is set to 45 mmHg for 8 minutes. The intraocular pressure is measured after the removal of the suction cup. Values below 7 mmHg are obtained in healthy subjects.

Central Corneal Thickness, Tonometry, and Ocular Dimensions in Glaucoma and Ocular Hypertension
Journal of Glaucoma, 2001To assess possible correlations between central corneal thickness, tonometry, and ocular dimensions. One hundred seventeen eyes of 117 patients who were not taking any intraocular pressure-lowering medications were studied prospectively. Forty-one patients had ocular hypertension; 13 patients had primary open-angle glaucoma; and 10 patients had normal ...

Experimental and Numerical Analysis of Ocular Tactile Tonometry
Volume 2: Biomedical and Biotechnology, 2012This article describes the experimental and numerical analysis of a novel trans-scleral tonometer based on the use of an instrumented form of digital palpation tonometry. Similar to manual digital palpation tonometery (estimation of the eye pressure via tactile touch), the novel ocular tactile tonometer utilizes multiple force probes to gather force ...

The aim of this study was to evaluate the association between different intraocular pressure (IOP)-lowering medications and IOP measurements by dynamic contour tonometry (DCT) and Goldmann applanation tonometry (GAT) in a glaucoma and ocular hypertensive population. In a prospective, observational case series study, 410 eyes from 410 consecutive ...

The Clinical Utility of Dynamic Contour Tonometry and Ocular Pulse Amplitude
Journal of Glaucoma, 2007To determine if ocular pulse amplitude (OPA) as measured by dynamic contour tonometry (DCT) is related to severity of glaucoma, and if intraocular pressure (IOP) as measured by DCT is related to central corneal thickness (CCT).Patients were selected from the Duke Eye Center glaucoma clinic.

We prospectively compared dynamic contour tonometry (DCT) to Goldmann (GAT) and hand-held tonometry (HHT) in normal, ocular hypertension, and glaucoma populations. Both measurements were made on each patient within a 5-minute period during routine office exams over 4 months.

Comparison of dynamic contour tonometry, Goldmann and pneumotonometer in ocular hypertension patients and their relationship to pachymetry and ocular pulse amplitude [PDF]
To determine the relationship between dynamic contour tonometry (DCT), Goldmann applanation tonometry (GAT) and pneumotonometry (PNT) in ocular hypertension patients (OHT) and their relationship to central corneal thickness (CCT) and ocular pulse amplitude (OPA).Sixty patients (101 eyes) with intraocular pressure (IOP) ≥21 mmHg using GAT and normal ...
