Ocular Pulse Amplitude in Healthy Subjects as Measured by Dynamic Contour Tonometry [PDF]
To test whether dynamic contour tonometry yields ocular pulse amplitude (OPA) measurements that are independent of corneal thickness and curvature, and to assess variables of observer agreement. In a multivariate cluster analysis on 223 eyes, the relationship between central corneal thickness, corneal curvature, axial length, anterior chamber depth ...

Biocompatibility of the Polymer Poly(Butylene Adipate‐Co‐Terephthalate) in the Cornea of Rabbits
The biocompatibility of the PBAT in the rabbit cornea was evaluated through clinical assessment and histopathological analysis using hematoxylin and eosin, picrosirius red, and Masson’s trichrome staining. ABSTRACT In a novel approach to corneal biomaterials, this study evaluated the biocompatibility of heat‐pressed poly(butylene adipate‐co ...

Cost–benefit analysis of screening programme for diabetic retinopathy in Bulgaria
Aims Late‐diagnosed diabetic retinopathy (DR) is difficult and expensive to treat. Screening programmes can identify the disease early and reduce the costs of its future treatment. This study aims to analyse the cost–benefit of screening programmes for DR.

Our findings demonstrate that NAD+ metabolism dysregulation contributes to elevated intraocular pressure in glaucoma. Supplementation with NAD+ precursors reduces IOP by alleviating oxidative stress, cellular senescence, and extracellular matrix deposition.

Tonometry by Ocular Response Analyzer in Keratoconic and Warpage Eyes in Comparison with Normal Eyes
Purpose: To compare intraocular pressure (IOP) values measured by ocular response analyzer (ORA) in contact lens-induced corneal warpage, normal, and keratoconic eyes. Methods: In a prospective, observational case–control study, 94 eyes of 47 warpage-suspected cases and 46 eyes of ...

Tonographic Effect of Ocular Response Analyzer in Comparison to Goldmann Applanation Tonometry
The tonographic effect is a phenomenon of intraocular pressure (IOP) reduction following repeated tonometry. This study examines whether the tonographic effect occurs following IOP measurement performed with Ocular Response Analyzer (ORA).Both eyes of 31 glaucoma patients and 35 healthy controls underwent nine IOP-measurements performed with GAT and ...
