Thermoelectric Modules Incorporating MgAgSb and Mg3(Sb,Bi)2 Synthesized Using a Melting Method
A scalable synthesis method for a thermoelectric material of MgAgSb is established. A thermoelectric power module of MgAgSb/Mg3(Sb,Bi)2 is fabricated, showing the conversion efficiency of 7.4% at ΔT = 315 K. The performance is comparable to conventional Bi2Te3 modules when they are operated with an air‐cooled heat exchanger.

Effect of tool geometry and flank wear on drill temperature during CFRP machining
Carbon Fibre-Reinforced Polymers (CFRP) are a fast growing market of high performance materials and components. Thermally induced damage during machining processes such as drilling or routing are among the limiting factors for product quality, yet ...

A Method and Device for 3D Recognition of Cutting Edge Micro Geometry
A very useful method was successfully applied in the investigation of tools for machining wood and wood based composites. It allows scanning of the cutting edge micro geometry in three dimensions and reproducing it in a virtual space as a 3D surface. The

Four‐point bending tests are conducted in an argon atmosphere on commercial MgO‐C brick grades with and without MgO‐C recyclate from room temperature up to 1300 °C. No detrimental effect of the MgO‐C recyclates on bending strength is found. Instead, a decisive influence of the total carbon content is observed, with lower total carbon contents ...

A New Cross Wedge Rolling Process for Producing Rail Axles
Rail axles are large-size parts produced in large batches. Currently, these parts are produced by metal forming techniques such as rotary forging, open die forging with hydraulic presses and open die hammer forging (minimum ram weight: 3 Mg ...

Finite Geometries: a tool for better understanding of Euclidean Geometry
An effective tool to really understand Euclidean geometry is the study of alternative models and their applications. In fact, they allow you to understand the real extent of various axioms that, when viewed from the Euclidean geometry, seem obvious or even unnecessary.

Classification of integrable discrete equations of octahedron type [PDF]
We use the consistency approach to classify discrete integrable 3D equations of the octahedron type. They are naturally treated on the root lattice $Q(A_3)$ and are consistent on the multidimensional lattice $Q(A_N)$. Our list includes the most prominent

The formation of nonmetallic inclusions (NMIs) was investigated in this study, carrying out immersion tests for 30 min at a temperature of 1600°C with liquid high‐silicon electrical steel (Si ≈ 3 mass‐%) and different MgO–C refractories. Conventional MgO–C refractories were considered, as well as MgO–C refractories containing MgO–C recyclate and ...
