Physical and Chemical Characteristics of Pathogenic Tooth Pulp Calcifications
2019Denticles (pulp stones) are formed of dentin or dentin-like tissue as a result of the crown and root pulp mineralisation. The etiological factors of pathogenic mineral formation in the pulp have not yet been studied. The aim of the study is to determine the physico-chemical characteristics of pulp stones (denticles) from patients of the Ural region ...

A one‐stage calcific barrier technique in a root‐fractured incisor tooth: a case report
International Endodontic Journal, 1991Summary. This paper describes the use of calcium hydroxide powder as an immediate plug before root canal obturation in the case of a root‐fractured upper centra] incisor that had been unresponsive to 18 months of treatment to create a calcific barrier.

GUIDED ENDODONTICS IN A TOOTH AFFECTED BY CALCIFIC
Endodontic treatment is a procedure that involves a series of techniques, including mechanical instrumentation, chemical debridement, and obturation of the root canal system, with the aim of maintaining and/or restoring the health of the affected tooth and surrounding tissues.Breno Estevam Silva de Souza +7 more

Dental development in chimpanzees ( Pan troglodytes ): The timing of tooth calcification stages
American Journal of Physical Anthropology, 1996Data are presented documenting the timing of tooth calcification for the left mandibular dentition (I1-M3) based on a cross-sectional series of intraoral dental X-rays from a sample of 118 captive chimpanzees. Mean, median, and midpoint ages of attainment; standard deviations (SD); interquartile ranges (IQR); and age ranges were calculated for the ...

Progress in biomineralization research in recent years has identified, characterized and described functions for key noncollagenous extracellular matrix proteins regulating crystal growth in the skeleton and dentition. Some of these same proteins expressed in soft tissues undergoing pathologic calcification also inhibit ectopic crystal growth.

The epidemiology of tooth calcification defects and dental caries in Queensland children [PDF]
The environmental relationships of disease are always complex, and interrelated with other factors such as causative agents, the attitude, behaviour and genetic background of the individual, and time. But neither complex environmental factors, nor even causative agents, have to be fully understood for disease to be prevented.

Tooth Loss, Patient Characteristics, and Coronary Artery Calcification
Abstract This study, for the first time, explores the integration of data science and machine learning for the classification and prediction of coronary artery calcium (CAC) scores, investigating both tooth loss and patient characteristics as key input features.Tuan D. Pham +4 more

In an orthodontic point of view, it is said that necrotic tissues cause a standstill of tooth movement until they disappear and that term of the standstill is related to the size of the necrotic tissues. Although remodeling processes of a periodontal membrane in compressed area were reported as series of phenomena like degeneration, coagulative ...
