Current Evidence on Best Practice Dental Survivorship Care for People With Head and Neck Cancer: An Overview of Systematic Reviews and Emerging Evidence

open access: yesHead &Neck, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Head and neck cancer (HNC) survival is improving, increasing the need to address long‐term survivorship issues. Dental survivorship—care before, during, and after treatment—remains inconsistent across services. We conducted a review of systematic reviews and emerging evidence to inform contemporary dental survivorship care for HNC

Microbiome and aging: Trajectories of microbiome age across human ecosystems and their systemic effects

open access: yesiMeta, EarlyView.
Microbiome age (MA) has emerged as an innovative biomarker of biological aging, reflecting host aging trajectories through dynamic alterations in microbial composition, function, and host–microbe interactions across multiple body ecosystems. Diverse computational strategies—including traditional machine learning, deep learning, and multi‐omics ...

Age‐related local versus systemic early phase wound healing dynamics following free gingival graft harvest

open access: yesJournal of Periodontology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Free palatal gingival grafts (FGG) are commonly harvested during mucogingival procedures. The present study investigates age‐related local and systemic early secondary wound healing outcomes, following FGG harvest in a rat model. Methods A 4.2 mm diameter defect was created in the palate of 24 younger (2 m) and 24 older (6 m) Wistar

Navigating the Complexity: A Comprehensive Review of GSK‐3 Inhibition in Regenerative Medicine

open access: yesMedicinal Research Reviews, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Glycogen synthase kinase‐3 (GSK‐3) is a central regulator of numerous cellular signaling pathways, with critical roles in metabolism, proliferation, differentiation, and tissue regeneration. This review explores the multifaceted effects of pharmacological GSK‐3 inhibition across multiple body districts, focusing on its highly context‐dependent

Hunting Strategies and Game Exploitation Organization in the Magdalenian: An Integrated Approach Based on Mortality Profiles and Stable Isotopes at Chaves Cave (Huesca, Spain)

open access: yesInternational Journal of Osteoarchaeology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Understanding hunting strategies in Upper Paleolithic contexts remains challenging due to the complex relationships between prey behavior, environmental conditions, and human decision‐making. Addressing these dynamics requires integrating archeozoological, geospatial, and geochemical proxies capable of capturing demographic patterns, landscape

Non-surgical endodontic management of calcific metamorphosis with periapical lesion using bioactive glass: a case report

open access: yesЭндодонтия Today
INTRODUCTION. Calcified root canals lead to various complications in endodontic treatment, as they complicate the locating of canal orifices, negotiating access, preparing the canals, and factoring in the time required for these procedures.
