An analysis of tooth position on initial tooth contact
Journal of Oral Rehabilitation, 1983SummaryA closed circuit television movement detector was used to study mandibular movement in the form of tooth tapping, in subjects with no apparent dental disease or malocclusion. The velocity and form of various phases of movement was studied, in the transverse, sagittal and coronal planes, from measurements made on u.v.

A calculation method of tooth profile modification for tooth contact analysis technology
Journal of the Brazilian Society of Mechanical Sciences and Engineering, 2018Tooth contact analysis (TCA) technology is an approach for computerized simulation of meshing of aligned and misaligned gear, which has been widely used in the design of gears. In TCA technology, the gear modification is completed by first modifying the cutter and then using the cutter to cut the gear blank.

Tooth modification and loaded tooth contact analysis of China Bearing Reducer
Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part C: Journal of Mechanical Engineering Science, 2019China Bearing Reducer (CBR) is a one-stage cycloid speed reducer, which has the advantages of large transmission ratio, large load, high precision, high stiffness, and compact structure. The profile modification quality and manufacturing error of cycloid gear are the key factors affecting the transmission accuracy.

Statistical Tolerance Analysis of Gears by Tooth Contact Analysis
2007To analyze the influence of geometrical variations of parts on functional characteristics, a powerful way consist to simulate its geometrical behaviour. For gears, a specific method based on Tooth Contact Analysis is developed to evaluate influence of intrinsic and situation deviations of pinion and wheel on the assembly.

Simulations of Gear Shaving and the Tooth Contact Analysis
2008Gear shaving is commonly used as a finishing process for gear manufacturing. The parameters of the shaving machine influence the precision of the shaved gear tooth profile significantly. This research develops the mathematical model of the shaved gear with longitudinal crowning considering the setting parameters of the gear-shaving machine.

Optimization of Hypoid Gear Design and Tooth Contact Analysis
Volume 10: 2017 ASME International Power Transmission and Gearing Conference, 2017Hypoid gears are effectively used in cross axis power transmission systems. Design of hypoid gear parameters is complex and dependent on designers’ experiences. In this paper, an easy approach to design the parameters of hypoid gear to obtain the minimum of maximum principle normal contact stress and peak to peak transmission error is presented.

Tooth contact analysis of crown gear coupling with misalignment
Mechanism and Machine Theory, 2018Abstract In this paper, manufacturing methods are presented for crown gear coupling composed of a hub with longitude crowning and tip sphere teeth, and a sleeve with straight internal teeth. Complete geometrical mathematical models of tools are proposed, including the flank and tip fillet regions.

Tooth contact analysis of conical involute gears
Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering (English Edition), 2006The mathematical model of conical involute gears is developed based on the theory of gearing and the generating mechanism. Tooth contact analysis (TCA) is performed to examine the meshing and bearing contact of the conical involute gear pairs with intersected and crossed axes.
