Tooth discoloration in endodontic procedures
Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, 1968Abstract We have conducted an experimental study in which dentine disks and Whatman paper were used to test discoloring effects of disinfectants, antibiotics, and flushing solutions used in endodontics. Each of the chemicals was tested alone and in the presence of a 1 per cent suspension of human erythrocytes in saline solution.

Evaluation of extrinsic tooth discoloration

The present investigation confirmed the staining ability of an antibacterial quarternary ammonium salt, benzethoniumchloride, used as a 2% additive to a dentifrice.

Tooth Discoloration After Treatment with Linezolid
Pharmacotherapy: The Journal of Human Pharmacology and Drug Therapy, 2003With the increasing frequency of methicillin‐resistant Staphylococcus aureus in immunocompromised hosts, clinicians are increasingly prescribing the oral treatment option of linezolid. Linezolid is the first of a new class of antibiotics, the oxazolidinones. The drug is generally well tolerated.

The Journal of the American Dental Association, 1974Deciduous teeth from children with cystic fibrosis who had a recorded history of tetracycline therapy were sectioned and photographed under visible and ultraviolet illumination to determine the extent of tetracycline incorporation into enamel and dentin.
