Bleaching of tooth discoloration caused by endodontic sealers

Journal of Endodontics, 1986
This in vitro study evaluated the bleaching of teeth discolored by endodontic sealers. Extracted premolars were stained from within by Grossman's cement, zinc oxide-eugenol, Tubli-Seal, AH26, Endomethasone, N2, or riebler's paste. The color of the buccal tooth surfaces was assessed immediately before and 6 months after the introduction of the sealers ...

An in vitro comparison of nonvital bleaching techniques in the discolored tooth

Journal of Endodontics, 1982
In this study, teeth were stained in vitro to compare and evaluate the results of three commonly used nonvital bleaching techniques: the thermocatalytic, the “walking bleach,” and the combination. The three techniques were equally effective in bleaching crowns in which pulpal hemorrhage was the primary cause of discoloration.

An in vitro comparison of different bleaching agents in the discolored tooth

Journal of Endodontics, 1989
Extracted teeth with intact crowns were stained to compare and evaluate the effectiveness of four bleaching agent combinations. Forty-two permanent and 12 deciduous teeth were used. The bleaching agents were placed into coronal pulp chambers and then evaluated and rated at 1-, 3-, 7-, and 14-day and 6-month intervals. New sodium perborate combined with

Coronal Tooth Discoloration and White Mineral Trioxide Aggregate

Journal of Endodontics, 2013
This study assessed and characterized discoloration when white MTA (wMTA) was placed in the coronal aspect of the root canal ex vivo and the influence of red blood cells on this discoloration.Canals were prepared from the apical aspect and restored with either wMTA + saline (n = 18), wMTA + blood (n = 18), or controls (n = 4 + 4) (blood or saline alone)
