Tooth-shaped plasmonic waveguide filters with nanometeric sizes [PDF]
A novel nanometeric plasmonic filter in a tooth-shaped Metal-Insulator-Metal waveguide is proposed and demonstrated numerically. An analytic model based on the scattering matrix method is given. The result reveals that the single tooth-shaped filter has a wavelength filtering characteristic and an ultra-compact size in the length of a few hundred ...

Polarization Management on Anisotropic Thin‐Film Lithium Niobate Platform
This review focuses on x‐cut thin‐film lithium niobate (TFLN), exploring strategies to mitigate anisotropy and mode hybridization. It covers polarization beam splitters, rotators, splitter‐rotators, polarizers, and polarization‐insensitive components. Key applications include polarization‐division multiplexing, polarization‐insensitive modulation, and ...

A compact self‐detecting dual‐comb spectroscopy (DCS) system based on dispersion‐engineered, high‐speed packaged quantum cascade lasers (QCLs) at λ≈4.6 μm under coherent injection locking is demonstrated. Broad multiheterodyne comb signal with reduced tooth linewidths by orders of magnitude is recorded.

Malpractice claims related to tooth extractions [PDF]
The aim of this study was to analyze malpractice claims related to tooth extractions in order to identify areas requiring emphasis and eventually to reduce the number of complications. We compiled a file of all malpractice claims related to tooth extractions (EBA code) between 1997 and 2010 from the Finnish Patient Insurance Centre. We then examined the

Poka: A Necro‐Robot Beetle with a Measured Payload Ratio of 6847%
Here, Poka, a necro‐robot beetle with the ability to carry more than 68 times its own weight, is introduced, making it also a walking robot with the highest payload ratio measured to date. This paper is concerned with the design, manufacture and validation of ‘Poka', a novel millimetre‐scale necro‐robot aimed at bridging the performance gap between ...
