Plasma‐immersion‐ion‐implantation (PIII) is applied to increase the bond strength between 3D printed Polyether–ether–ketone (PEEK) or Poly–ether–ketone (PEK) and dental composite resin. A predictive model is presented that demonstrates the relative effect of plasma and mechanical interlocking because of roughness. The bond strength achieved with plasma

Epoxy waste was recycled by milling and melt blending with polycaprolactone (PCL). The material was used for 3D printing. FTIR showed good dispersion of the epoxy in the matrix. Mechanical properties of the 3D printed samples and the injection moulded ones were similar.

Traumatic Dental Injury—An Enigma for Adolescents: A Series of Case Reports
Coronal fractures of permanent dentition are the most frequent type of dental injury. Fractured anterior teeth are usually treated with conventional post and core and crown techniques, after being treated endodontically. If the original tooth fragment is

Investigation of the Effects of Teeth Clenching Due to Weight Training on Oral Health
Background: As interest in health increases, the number of people engaging in weight training to enhance muscle strength and muscle mass is on the rise. High-intensity weight training has been reported to induce tooth clenching habits, leading to tooth

A new giant species of placented worm and the mechanism by which onychophorans weave their nets (Onychophora: Peripatidae) [PDF]
Onychophorans, or velvet worms, are poorly known and rare animals. Here we report the discovery of a new species that is also the largest onychophoran found so far, a 22cm long female from the Caribbean coastal forest of Costa Rica. Specimens were examined with Scanning Electron Microscopy; Peripatus solorzanoi sp.

Various properties of bone biomaterials can modulate components of the blood clot (including the fibrin network, red blood cells, platelets, and the complement system) in vivo implantation, leading to the formation of a biomaterial–blood clot complex (BBCC) significantly impacting subsequent osteoimmunomodulation.

Analysis of PM2.5 Morphology, Composition and Health Risk in a Multi‐Chair Dental Clinic
ABSTRACT Particulate matter with aerodynamic diameter ≤ 2.5 μm (PM2.5) at high concentrations in dental clinics poses significant health risks to healthcare professionals. However, the morphology and chemical composition of PM2.5 in specific environments are not yet fully elucidated.
