A Rare Form of Microcephalic Primordial Dwarfism due to NSMCE2 Deficiency (Seckel Syndrome Type 10): A Report of Macular Involvement

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Biallelic variants in NSMCE2 (MMS21), which encodes the SUMO E3 ligase subunit of the SMC5/6 chromatin‐maintenance complex, have recently been implicated in microcephalic primordial dwarfism (MPD), corresponding to Seckel syndrome type 10 (OMIM #617246).

Theoretical Research of the Modification of Cycloidal Gear used in RV Reducer of Robot

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 2015
Aiming at the cycloidal gear used in RV reducer of robots, based on the concept of the single tooth without side clearance, the tooth surface equation of the cycloidal gear after modification is deduced by directly adding the second- order parabolic ...

Establishing Sensory Neurons as Therapeutic Targets in Peripheral Neuropathy Driven by Polyglutamine Expanded Murine ATXN3

open access: yesAnnals of Neurology, EarlyView.
Repeat expansion disorders frequently involve peripheral neuropathy, yet mechanisms remain unclear. Using a spinocerebellar ataxia type 3 (SCA3) Knock‐In Atxn3Q300/Q6, we identify progressive sensorimotor deficits, peripheral nerve pathology, and dorsal root ganglia RNA splicing dysregulation.

Research on thermal characteristics of gear based on parametric tooth profile modification

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering
This paper establishes a thermal analysis model for parametric profile modification gears based on the heat transfer mechanisms of gear transmission. The main research parameters are the addendum coefficient and the modification coefficient, focusing on ...

Modified Titanium Dental Implants: The Current Progress of Soft‐Tissue Integration Methods

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, EarlyView.
Dental implants are an established solution for tooth loss, yet achieving soft tissue integration (STI) around the transmucosal region remains a challenge. The natural tooth–gingiva interface is poorly replicated on titanium implants. This review explores surface modification strategies, ranging from surface chemistry and topography to biological ...

METHOD FOR MODIFYING PROFILE OF CYCLOIDAL WHEEL CONSIDERING COMPENSATION FOR ELASTIC DEFORMATION

open access: yesJixie qiangdu, 2020
Considering the influence of elastic deformation on the profile of the cycloid,a cycloid profile modification method for compensating elastic deformation is proposed.Based on the theory of cycloid profile modification, the coordinates of the meshing point

Synthesis, modification, and chlorhexidine loading of polymer modified-HM-HAP particles: In vivo antibacterial analysis and cell cytotoxicity assessment. [PDF]

open access: yesSmart Mol
This study presents the synthesis of hollow mesoporous hydroxyapatite (HM‐HAP) particles modified with different weights PEG and PEI. Chlorhexidine was loaded onto the particles. SEM analysis confirmed no significant morphological changes. Antibacterial activity was tested in vitro and in vivo using mouse oral bacteria, demonstrating promising results.

A detailed redescription of a skeletally immature ‘Redondasaurus’ suggests ontogenetic transformations in the taxon mirror phytosaurian morphological evolution

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract The study of morphological evolution is fundamentally tied to ontogeny, yet studies of these heterochronic processes in the fossil record are rare. Fossils belonging to an ontogenetic series are difficult to assign to an ontogenetic stage due to inconsistent proxies for skeletal ages, challenging to taxonomically assign due to morphological ...

Morphological variation in atlas and axis of Neotropical spiny rats (Rodentia, Echimyidae)

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract The unique morphologies of the first two cervical vertebrae, the atlas and axis, represent a significant innovation in mammalian evolution. These structures support the weight of the head and enable intricate movements of the head and neck.
