The Tooth Profile Modification in Gear Manufacture
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2007The gear design always be focus on analyzing the static performance (strength, stress, friction) and dynamic performance (inertia, noise, vibration), and especially for dynamic, the noise and vibration of gear are big problems. Actually, the main reason of noise and vibration is transmission error between master and slave gears, but the error must ...

Study on Contact Force of Tooth Profile Modification
Advanced Materials Research, 2011Linear, conic, cubic, and sine relief curve are compiled and established in MATLAB, on which gear models are built in UG and a new method of establishing relief gear models is proposed in this paper. Based on the theory of elastic, contact method is used on the proposed finite element models of gears by software LS-DYNA.

Optimization of Involute Gear Tooth Profile Modification for Tooth Scoring Reduction
6th International Power Transmission and Gearing Conference: Advancing Power Transmission Into the 21st Century, 1992Abstract This paper presents a method for determining optimum involute tooth profile modifications to reduce scoring and to increase load bearing capacity. The method is based upon Bloks theory of lubrication and wear. The method leads to design charts incorporating common geometrical gearing parameters. An example is presented.

Analysis of Tooth Profile Modification and Meshing Characteristics of Double Arc Harmonic Drive
2021 4th International Conference on Electron Device and Mechanical Engineering (ICEDME), 2021Aiming at investigating the problem that the main section of the harmonic gear transmission tooth profile is completely meshed while others have interference, the improved kinematics method is adopted to design the non-common tangent double-arc tooth ...

A Study on Planetary Gear Dynamics With Tooth Profile Modification
Volume 8: 11th International Power Transmission and Gearing Conference; 13th International Conference on Advanced Vehicle and Tire Technologies, 2011This study investigates the impact of tooth profile modification on planetary gear dynamic response. Micro-scale geometric deviations from an involute gear tooth profile add an additional excitation source, potentially reducing gear vibration. In order to take account of the excitation, tooth profile modification is included in an analytical planetary ...

Influence of Tooth Profile Modification on Helical Gear Durability
Journal of Mechanical Design, 2002A nonlinear finite element contact mechanics model of a helical gear pair was used to study the effect of intentional tooth profile modifications on durability of helical gear pairs. Both two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) modifications were considered.
