Influence of anti-allergic drugs used systemically on the process of root resorption during delayed tooth replantation: a study in rats.

Dental Traumatology, 2019
BACKGROUND/AIM Anti-allergic drugs can inhibit the hard tissue resorption process, and due to similarities between root resorption and bone mechanisms, it can be inferred that these drugs may also control root resorption.

Apexification of a replanted tooth using mineral trioxide aggregate

Dental Traumatology, 2005
Abstract –  The most important factors determining periodontal healing after replantation of an avulsed tooth are the extra oral period and the media in which the tooth is preserved before replantation. This case report describes an adequate periodontal healing of an avulsed immature tooth replanted after 20 min of extra alveolar dry time. Vitality was

Investigation of the Mechanisms Involved in Periodontal Ligament Revascularization and Reinnervation Following Immediate Tooth Replantation in Rats.

Dental Traumatology
BACKGROUND/AIM Tooth avulsion is characterized by the complete displacement of a tooth from its socket, and the recommended treatment is immediate replantation of the tooth.

Histological evaluation of a replanted tooth retained for 49 years

Dental Traumatology, 2006
Abstract –  A maxillary incisor that had been replanted immediately after avulsion 49 years previously was evaluated histologically after extraction. The histological evaluation revealed resorption of the apical root surface, depositions in cement with different phases and mineral density, and histological changes in the periodontal ligament.

Periodontal healing by periodontal ligament fiber with or without cells: A preclinical study of the decellularized periodontal ligament in a tooth replantation model.

The Journal of Periodontology, 2019
BACKGROUND The periodontal ligament (PDL) comprises cells embedded in the extracellular matrix and is required for periodontal healing upon tooth transplantation.

An interesting healing outcome of a replanted immature permanent tooth: a case report

Dental Traumatology, 2010
A case of an avulsed upper left central incisor that was replanted after 3 h in a 7-year-old girl is presented. The tooth showed signs of an acute periapical abscess at 2 weeks after replantation. Apexification with mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) following application of calcium hydroxide was attempted.

Intentional replantation of periodontally involved and endodontically mistreated tooth

Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, 1986
This article presents a case in which a tooth was intentionally replanted after it was endodontically mistreated; there was also a severe periodontal involvement. The unusually long period of time that the tooth survived might be attributed to a different approach to the replantation technique, such as occlusion adjustment prior to replantation ...
