Translocation of a granular chain in a horizontally vibrated saw-tooth channel [PDF]
We study the translocation mechanism of a granular chain in a horizontally vibrated saw-tooth channel using MD simulations and macro-scale experiments and show that the translocation speed is independent of the chain length as long as the chain length is larger than the spatial period of the saw-tooth. With the help of simulation, we explore the effect

Adjustment of chain drives with a toothed chain and involute sprockets
Chain drives with a toothed chain have a wide application both in vehicles and in oil-refining equipment. The proposed method of calculation of chain drives with a toothed chain and involute sprockets takes into account its operation conditions, pollution, load conditions, dynamic loads, operating environment ...

DETERMINING LOCATION RADII OF GEAR CHAIN PIVOT LOCUS ON INVOLUTE SPROCKET WRAPS
The methods of calculating the location radii of the gear chain pivot locus on the wraps of involute sprockets are suggested. The methods involve a step - by - step “placing” of the chain loops on the sprocket.

Diversity of Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato in ticks and small mammals from different habitats
Background Ixodid ticks are important vectors for zoonotic pathogens, with Ixodes ricinus being the most important in Europe. Rodents are hosts of immature life stages of I.

Plasma neurofilament light chain as a potential biomarker in Charcot‐Marie‐Tooth disease [PDF]
AbstractBackground and purposeCharcot‐Marie‐Tooth (CMT) disease is a chronic, slowly progressing disorder. The lack of specific disease progression biomarkers limits the execution of clinical trials. However, neurofilament light chain (NfL) has been suggested as a potential biomarker for peripheral nervous system disorders.MethodsNinety‐six CMT disease

Geometry of silent chain - involute sprocket
Silent chains tend to have more and more usage in automotive industry. The study of these types of chains has a lot to consider due to the fact that silent chains are not standardized yet.

Differential expression of laminin α chains during murine tooth development [PDF]
Basement membranes of the developing tooth have been previously shown to contain laminins, but the nature of the laminins have not been described. We here studied the distribution of five different laminin alpha chains during tooth development. We show that both epithelial and mesenchymal cells produce laminin alpha chains.

To explore the influence of preservation by freezing on tissues of tooth germ, we examined changes in histological architectures and glycoconjugate expression detected by lectins, in tooth germs, with or without freezing, of postnatal 5 day rats. The results acquired were as follows: tissue architectures and cellular morphologies were similar between ...

Engineering peptides into antibodies—opportunities and strategies for therapeutic innovation
Peptides and antibodies occupy complementary therapeutic niches. Peptides recognize difficult targets in a compact format, while antibodies add specificity, long half‐life, and effector functions. This review examines strategies that merge both modalities—peptide grafting into loops, terminal and Fc fusions, and bioconjugation—highlighting how ...
