Changes in Body Composition in Children and Young People Undergoing Treatment for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Ongoing evidence indicates increased risk of sarcopenic obesity among children and young people (CYP) with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), often beginning early in treatment, persisting into survivorship. This review evaluates current literature on body composition in CYP with ALL during and after treatment.

Measurement of the top quark pole mass using t t ¯ $$ \textrm{t}\overline{\textrm{t}} $$ +jet events in the dilepton final state in proton-proton collisions at s $$ \sqrt{s} $$ = 13 TeV

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
A measurement of the top quark pole mass m t pole $$ {m}_{\textrm{t}}^{\textrm{pole}} $$ in events where a top quark-antiquark pair ( t t ¯ $$ \textrm{t}\overline{\textrm{t}} $$ ) is produced in association with at least one additional jet ( t t ...

Characterizing Parental Concerns About Lasting Impacts of Treatment in Children With B‐Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background B‐acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B‐ALL) is the most common pediatric cancer, and while most children in high‐resource settings are cured, therapy carries risks for long‐term toxicities. Understanding parents’ concerns about these late effects is essential to guide anticipatory support and inform evolving therapeutic approaches ...

Anomalies in bottom from new physics in top

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2018
We analyze the possibility to accommodate current b→sℓ+ℓ− anomalies with TeV-scale mediators that couple to right-handed top quarks and muons, contributing to b→sℓ+ℓ− at the one-loop level.

Search for leptonic charge asymmetry in t t ¯ W $$ t\overline{t}W $$ production in final states with three leptons at s $$ \sqrt{s} $$ = 13 TeV

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
A search for the leptonic charge asymmetry ( A c ℓ $$ {A}_{\textrm{c}}^{\ell } $$ ) of top-quark-antiquark pair production in association with a W boson ( t t ¯ W $$ t\overline{t}W $$ ) is presented.

The anti‐CRISPR protein AcrIE8.1 inhibits the type I‐E CRISPR‐Cas system by directly binding to the Cascade subunit Cas11

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we present the structure of AcrIE8.1, a previously uncharacterized anti‐CRISPR protein that inhibits the type I‐E CRISPR‐Cas system. Through a combination of structural and biochemical analyses, we demonstrate that AcrIE8.1 directly binds to the Cas11 subunit of the Cascade complex to inhibit the CRISPR‐Cas system.

Energy-peak based method to measure top quark mass via B-hadron decay lengths

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
We develop a method for the determination of the top quark mass using the distribution of the decay length of the B-hadrons originating from its decay. This technique is based on our earlier observation regarding the location of the peak of the b quark ...

Hematopoietic (stem) cells—The elixir of life?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The aging of HSCs (hematopoietic stem cells) and the blood system leads to the decline of other organs. Rejuvenating aged HSCs improves the function of the blood system, slowing the aging of the heart, kidney, brain, and liver, and the occurrence of age‐related diseases.

Evidence for associated production of a Higgs boson with a top quark pair in final states with electrons, muons, and hadronically decaying τ leptons at s=13 $$ \sqrt{s}=13 $$ TeV

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
Results of a search for the standard model Higgs boson produced in association with a top quark pair ( tt¯H $$ \mathrm{t}\overline{\mathrm{t}}\mathrm{H} $$) in final states with electrons, muons, and hadronically decaying τ leptons are presented.

Optimising top-quark threshold scan at CLIC using genetic algorithm

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
One of the important goals at the future e + e − colliders is to measure the top-quark mass and width in a scan of the pair production threshold. However, the shape of the pair-production cross section at the threshold depends also on other model ...
