Topographic Bias and Variability within Non-Criterial Components of the Operant Class [PDF]
Topographic bias and behavioral variability are two fundamental characteristics of the operant class, and are present to some degree in all experimental analysis of behavior, whether measurable or not. They represent the overlapping effects of multiple extraexperimental contingencies, often drawn from the organism’s biology and history, which interact ...

In seasonally frozen regions, highway tunnels are prone to shallow buried bias pressures near the inlet/outlet, which leads to highway tunnels not only bearing asymmetric loads, but also facing the threat of extreme weather. However, there is still no clear understanding of the temperature field for topographically biased tunnel in seasonally frozen ...

Solving the Topographic Potential Bias as an Initial Value Problem [PDF]
Solving the Topographic Potential Bias as an Initial Value ProblemIf the gravitational potential or the disturbing potential of the Earth be downward continued by harmonic continuation inside the Earth's topography, it will be biased, the bias being the difference between the downward continued fictitious, harmonic potential and the real potential ...

Spatiotemporal brain dynamics underlying attentional bias modifications [PDF]
Exaggerated attentional biases toward specific elements of the environment contribute to the maintenance of several psychiatric conditions, such as biases to threatening faces in social anxiety.

Objective The study aimed to identify symptom‐based predictors of dry eye disease (DED) signs in the Sjögren's International Collaborative Clinical Alliance (SICCA) cohort. Methods We performed a retrospective analysis examining 16 ocular symptoms (most graded 0–4) and artificial tear (AT) use (graded 0–3) as predictors of DED signs (abnormal ocular ...

Planar Solid‐State Nanopores Toward Scalable Nanofluidic Integration Based on CMOS Technology
We present a scalable silicon‐based fabrication strategy for planar solid‐state nanopores to enable their integration with complex nanofluidic systems. Prototype devices demonstrate normal voltage‐current characteristics, good noise performance, and appreciable streaming currents. Our CMOS‐compatible fabrication process offers precise geometric control

Robust Spot Melting by 3D Spot Arrangements in Electron Beam Powder Bed Fusion
This work proposes an approach to replace separately melted contours for spot melting in electron beam powder fusion. Adapting the spot arrangements close to the contour combined with stacking yields a comparable surface quality without the inherent challenges of separate contours, as demonstrated, by electron optical images and roughness measurements.
