Topographic slope correction for analysis of thermal infrared images [PDF]

open access: yes, 1982
A simple topographic slope correction using a linearized thermal model and assuming slopes less than about 20 degrees is presented. The correction can be used to analyzed individual thermal images or composite products such as temperature difference or ...

Photoluminescence Reshaping via Structural Confinement and Local Density of Optical States Control in Ir(III)‐Doped Biodegradable Metasurfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Phosphorescent biodegradable metasurface showing vibronic selection and spectral photoluminescence narrowing. Anti‐correlation between experimental LDOS and measured lifetimes. ABSTRACT Metasurfaces incorporating phosphorescent emitters offer a route to engineer radiative and vibronic processes beyond chemical design.

In‐House Manufacturing of 3D ECM Culture Chips via Vacuum Thermoforming for Enhanced Imaging Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Desktop vacuum thermoforming enables rapid, low‐cost fabrication of 96‐channel polystyrene culture chips with very thin imaging interfaces. The resulting platform supports cell lines, primary cells, and patient‐derived organoids, and enables high‐resolution confocal microscopy and single‐cell visualization, providing an accessible approach for advanced

Highly Conductive and Transparent Coatings via Low‐Temperature Hydroiodic Acid Vapor Treatment of Oxo‐Graphene Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
The double self‐assembly (DSA) method applied to oxo‐graphene (oxo‐G) flakes followed by hydroiodic acid (HI) vapor treatment and low‐temperature annealing yields highly conductive, optically transparent thin films with the potential for applications in electronic and optoelectronic devices.

Zero‐Waste Manufacturing of Ophthalmic Lenses by Direct Fluidic Shaping in Arbitrary Domains

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Conventional ophthalmic lens manufacturing discards up to 97% of material through subtractive processes. The Cookie Cutter algorithm extends Fluidic Shaping to arbitrary rim geometries. The framework prescribes a spatially varying boundary height that, under neutral buoyancy and surface tension, shapes curable polymer into spherocylindrical lenses that

Synergistic Interfacial Regulation by Nano‐TiO2 and Carboxylated Cellulose Nanofibers for Multiscale Surface Stabilization of Cementitious Composites

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Nano‐TiO2 and carboxylated cellulose nanofibers jointly regulate hydration‐product distribution in cementitious composites. Improved microstructural continuity and refined pore structure accompany enhanced strength and surface stability without a substantial increase in overall hydration.

Autonomous Reconfigurable Modular Conductive Hydrogels for Adaptive and Degradable Bioelectronic Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Bridging rigid electrodes with soft, irregular tissues demands more than conductivity alone. Modular conductive hydrogels autonomously reconfigure into conformal electrode‐tissue interfaces, coupling mixed ionic‐electronic conduction with tissue‐like mechanics, self‐healing, and degradability.
