CT-guided radiofrequency ablation of osteoid osteoma: correlation of clinical outcome and imaging features [PDF]
PURPOSEWe aimed to retrospectively evaluate the computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings of patients with osteoid osteoma treated with CT-guided radiofrequency ablation (RFA) along with the clinical outcome and long-term ...

Glissile Interphase Boundaries Enable Collective Phase Switching in Epitaxial Polar Oxides
A triple point is identified in the phase diagram of low‐symmetry epitaxial BiFeO3 thin film along with an extended regime of phase competition associated with a flattened energy landscape. The electromechanical response is shown to be governed by correlated interphase‐boundary motion, including scale‐free avalanche dynamics characteristic of systems ...

Percutaneous stereotactic image-guided microwave ablation for malignant liver lesions. [PDF]
Thermal ablation has proven beneficial for hepatocellular carcinoma and possibly for colorectal liver metastases, but data is lacking for other liver metastases. Computer-assisted navigation can increase ablation efficacy and broaden its indications.

Resonant standing waves generate large‐area lattices of liquid‐crystal topological defects that are permanently encoded into polymer coatings by photopolymerization. The preserved director architecture produces thermally reconfigurable surface topographies while maintaining programmable optical functionality, demonstrating a scalable strategy for ...

Hafnium zirconium oxide thin films are grown using plasma‐enhanced atomic layer deposition with the addition of an atomic layer annealing (ALA) step. ALA leads to a change in the short‐range structure of the deposit and encourages formation of the ferroelectric Pca21 phase. The result is wake‐up‐free performance with films exposed to ALA.

Architecture‐Driven Functional Coupling in Vertically Aligned Nanocomposites
Vertically aligned nanocomposites define a growth‐engineered architecture in which vertical interfaces, strain fields, defect pathways, and phase connectivity are created simultaneously. This review shows how these architectural features couple ferroic, optical, ionic, electrochemical, and device responses, establishing design rules and open challenges
