Spaces homeomorphic to (2)αii

open access: yes, 1974
Topological characterizations and properties of the spaces (2)αwhere a is an infinite regular cardinal, are studied; the principal interest lying in the significance that these spaces have in questions of existence of ultrafilters (or of elements of the ...

Aspects of regular and exact completions

open access: yes, 2021
Over the last 30 years, the constructions of regular and exact completions of weakly lex categories and of the exact completion of a regular category have been extensively studied in the context of Category Theory and its applications.

Emergent Spin Supersolids in Frustrated Quantum Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This review highlights developments in the study of spin super‐solids in frustrated quantum materials. Advanced experimental characterizations and computational studies enable a comprehensive understanding of the driving mechanisms of spin super‐solidity in various layered transition‐metal compounds, bridging materials, experiments, and theory aspects.

Representation and generation of plans using graph spectra

open access: yes, 2007
Numerical comparison of spaces with one another is often achieved with set scalar measures such as global and local integration, connectivity, etc., which capture a particular quality of the space but therefore lose much of the detail of its overall ...

Weak In‐Plane Ferromagnetism and Electronic Nematicity in the Distorted Triple‐Q Magnetic Phase of Co1/3TaS2

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Co1/3TaS2${\rm Co}_{1/3}{\rm TaS}_{2}$ hosts a triple‐Q noncoplanar antiferromagnetic state with coexisting Z3${\rm Z}_3$ electronic nematicity. We report rotational hysteresis observed in both magnetoresistance and magnetic torque, revealing strongly pinned in‐plane weak ferromagnetic moments in the triple‐Q phase and the magnetism‐driven nature of ...

On topological semigroups with invariant means in the convex hull of multiplicative means

open access: yes, 1969
Let S be a topological semigroup and C(S) the space of bounded real continuous function on S with sup norm. For f є C(S), s, t є S, [subscript s]f(t) = f(st), let LUC(S) be the space of all f є C(S) for which the map s ↦ [subscript s] f from S to C(S ...

Ferromagnetism of Molecular Beam Epitaxy‐grown Ultra‐thin Cr2Ge2Te6 Films Down to the Monolayer Limit on Si Substrates

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Uniform monolayer Cr2Ge2Te6 films are achieved on Si substrates by molecular beam epitaxy. Intrinsic ferromagnetism with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy is established in the films by anomalous Hall effect and superconducting quantum interference device measurements, albeit with strong magnetic fluctuations characteristic of its 2D nature.

Model-Theoretic Analysis of Asher and Vieu's Mereotopology

open access: yes, 2008
In the past little work has been done to characterize the models of various mereotopological systems. This thesis focuses on Asher and Vieu's first-order mereotopology which evolved from Clarke's Calculus of Individuals.

Phase Engineering of Nanomaterials (PEN): Evolution, Current Challenges, and Future Opportunities

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This review summarizes the synthesis, phase transition, advanced characterization spanning ex situ to in situ and operando techniques, and diverse applications of phase engineering of nanomaterials (PEN). It further outlines key challenges and future opportunities, such as phase stability, architecture control, and artificial intelligence (AI)‐driven ...

Giant Orbital Rashba–Edelstein Effect in Crystalline Cu2O/Cu Heterostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
An enhanced orbital Rashba–Edelstein effect is demonstrated in a crystalline Cu2O/Cu heterostructure, compared to naturally oxidized CuOx structures, highlighting the critical role of crystallinity and interface control in orbital torque generation. The resulting spin torque conductivity exceeds that of Pt, indicating the potential of orbital torque ...
