Dual‐Active‐Site NiCo2S4@CoP/Ni2P Ternary Heterojunction for High‐Performance Hybrid Supercapacitors

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
A hollow NiCo2S4@CoP/Ni2P triple‐phase heterostructure with abundant interfaces and sulfur vacancies enables rapid charge transfer and ion diffusion, delivering high specific capacitance and energy density in hybrid supercapacitors. ABSTRACT The rational design of electrode materials that integrate high capacity, excellent rate capability, and long ...

Molecular Modification Strategies for CO2 Electroreduction to C2+ Products: Classifications, Mechanisms, Advances, and Perspectives

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
This review comprehensively outlines molecular modification strategies for steering CO2 electroreduction toward C2+ products, including the classification of diverse molecular structures, elucidation of their roles in microenvironment regulation, dissection of C–C coupling pathway engineering, and forward‐looking perspectives on machine learning and ...

CORE DEFORMATIONS OF TOPOLOGICAL DEFECTS

International Journal of Modern Physics A, 1995
We consider phases of spontaneously broken gauge theories in which different types of topological excitations, like flux tubes, monopoles etc., coexist. We analyze the topological relations which exist between the charges, and give a description of the admissible core deformations in terms of certain cohomology groups that occur in obstruction theory.

Topological Defects in CFT

Ядерная физика, 2013
Areview of the notion, properties and the use of topological defects in 2d conformal field theories is presented. An emphasis is made on the recent interpretation of such operators in non-rational theories, as describing Wilson-’t Hooft loop operators of N = 2 supersymmetric 4d topological theories.

Fingerprints of topological defects in a metasurface

Optics Letters, 2014
Singularity, representing a structurally stable topological defect (TD), plays a pivotal role in various physical systems. Here we theoretically present the fingerprints of TDs and uncover the resulting exotic optical properties in a tailored metasurface system.

Defects and Topology

1989
The ordered states which we considered in the preceding chapter are spatially uniform, i.e., the order parameter ψ has the same value everywhere in space. In practice, however, ψ could be a function of r on account of imperfections. Our interest here is in topological defects (like dislocations), that are related intrinsically to symmetry breaking.

Topological defects at finite temperature

Physical Review D, 1987
We obtain the phase diagram of gauge theories by studying the influence of topologically nontrivial boundary conditions. For this reason, we develop a scheme for computing the free energy of topological defects at finite temperature. As an application, the free energy of topological defects for the minimal SU(5) model are evaluated in the semiclassical

Topological defects of wave patterns

Physical Review Letters, 1987
We identify the defects of waves by means of topological arguments and study them in the framework of Landau-type analysis. It is shown that they correspond to sinks, sources, or dislocations of traveling waves, and to dislocations of standing waves.
