Superconformal Line Defects in 3D

open access: yesUniverse, 2021
We review the recent progress in the study of line defects in three-dimensional Chern–Simons-matter superconformal field theories, notably the ABJM theory.

Connectomes and properties of quantum entanglement

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
Topological quantum field theories (TQFT) encode properties of quantum states in the topological features of abstract manifolds. One can use the topological avatars of quantum states to develop intuition about different concepts and phenomena of quantum ...

Kibble Zurek mechanism of topological defect formation in quantum field theory with matrix product states [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2018
The Kibble Zurek mechanism in a relativistic $ ^{4}$ scalar field theory in $D = (1 + 1)$ is studied using uniform matrix product states. The equal time two point function in momentum space $G_{2}(k)$ is approximated as the system is driven through a quantum phase transition at a variety of different quench rates $ _{Q}$.

Random-mass disorder in the critical Gross-Neveu-Yukawa models

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2021
An important yet largely unsolved problem in the statistical mechanics of disordered quantum systems is to understand how quenched disorder affects quantum phase transitions in systems of itinerant fermions.

Strongly coupled QFT dynamics via TQFT coupling

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
We consider a class of quantum field theories and quantum mechanics, which we couple to ℤ N topological QFTs, in order to classify non-perturbative effects in the original theory.

3d N=4 Bootstrap and Mirror Symmetry

open access: yesSciPost Physics, 2021
We investigate the non-BPS realm of 3d ${\cal N} = 4$ superconformal field theory by uniting the non-perturbative methods of the conformal bootstrap and supersymmetric localization, and utilizing special features of 3d ${\cal N} = 4$ theories such as ...

Solitons in lattice field theories via tight-binding supersymmetry

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
Reflectionless potentials play an important role in constructing exact solutions to classical dynamical systems (such as the Korteweg-de Vries equation), non-perturbative solutions of various large-N field theories (such as the Gross-Neveu model), and ...

Winding θ and destructive interference of instantons

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
While the θ dependence of field theories is 2π periodic, the ground-state wavefunctions at θ and θ + 2π often belong to different classes of symmetry-protected topological states.

Is the Nicolai map unique?

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
The Nicolai map is a field transformation that relates supersymmetric theories at finite couplings g with the free theory at g = 0. It is obtained via an ordered exponential of the coupling flow operator integrated from 0 to g.

A one-dimensional theory for Higgs branch operators

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
We use supersymmetric localization to calculate correlation functions of half-BPS local operators in 3d N = 4 $$ \mathcal{N}=4 $$ superconformal field theories whose Lagrangian descriptions consist of vectormultiplets coupled to hypermultiplets.
