Comparing topology and stream based strategies for modeling service function chains [PDF]
Using Network Functions Visualization (NFV), network functionality can be virtualized and deployed on generic servers. This increases network flexibility, and makes it possible to allocate network services in multiple locations throughout the network.

Viscoelasticity‐driven instabilities are harnessed to create tunable, periodic textures in 3D‐printed liquid crystalline polymers. This study illustrates how processing parameters control these spontaneous meso‐scale patterns. These unique structural architectures unlock new possibilities for functional devices, ranging from photonic components to ...

Topological Beth Model and its Application to Functionals of High Types [PDF]
Based on the definition of Beth-Kripke model by Dragalin, we describe Beth model from the topological point of view. We show the relation of the topological definition with more traditional relational definition of Beth model that is based on forcing.

Circular photogalvanic effect measurements and first‐principles calculations reveal spin‐splitting states in solution‐processed bournonite films (CuPbSbS3) due to structural and bulk inversion asymmetry. The results provide experimental confirmation of coexisting Rashba and Dresselhaus spin‐splitting states in this non‐centrosymmetric chalcogenide ...

Studying cities to learn about minds: some possible implications of space syntax for spatial cognition [PDF]
What can we learn of the human mind by examining its products? The city is a case in point. Since the beginning of cities human ideas about them have been dominated by geometric ideas, and the real history of cities has always oscillated between the ...

Predicting Atomic Charges in MOFs by Topological Charge Equilibration
An atomic charge prediction method is presented that is able to accurately reproduce ab‐initio‐derived reference charges for a large number of metal–organic frameworks. Based on a topological charge equilibration scheme, static charges that fulfill overall neutrality are quickly generated.
