Topological localization in out-of-equilibrium dissipative systems

open access: yes, 2017
In this paper we report that notions of topological protection can be applied to stationary configurations that are driven far from equilibrium by active, dissipative processes.

Smarter Sensors Through Machine Learning: Historical Insights and Emerging Trends across Sensor Technologies

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review highlights how machine learning (ML) algorithms are employed to enhance sensor performance, focusing on gas and physical sensors such as haptic and strain devices. By addressing current bottlenecks and enabling simultaneous improvement of multiple metrics, these approaches pave the way toward next‐generation, real‐world sensor applications.

STRUCTURE TOPOLOGICAL MODEL OF SEWAGE SYSTEMS SETTLEMENT AND ITS FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

open access: yesUrban construction and architecture, 2019
A topological model of the structure of the technical system of sewage settlement, which is displayed using graphs, is proposed. The functional description of the settlement technical system is verbally executed and reflects a multilevel hierarchy of sewer system functions.

Mechanotransducing Organic Electrochemical Diode for Crosstalk‐Inhibited Artificial Skin

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An innovative approach is presented to a stretchable mechanotransducing diode that unifies rectification and tactile‐sensing functionality. This approach enables to fabricate the diode that maintains a large rectification ratio (5 × 102) at a high operational frequency (100 Hz).

Colloidal Crack Sintering Lithography for Light‐Induced Patterning of Particle Assemblies

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Colloidal crack sintering lithography (CCSL) is a microfabrication technique that uses light‐induced photothermal heating to trigger sintering and controlled cracking in polymer colloidal assemblies. Local structural changes generate microchannels and patterns, enabling direct writing of diverse topographic motifs.

Two-port Network Transfer Function for Power Line Topology Modeling

open access: yesRadioengineering, 2012
This paper deals with modeling of power line communication. A two-port network model is theoretically described and compared with measurement. A substantial part is focused on the mathematical description of distri¬bution network using the method, which uses chain pa¬rameter matrices describing the relation between input and output voltage and current ...

Selective Charge Injection via Topological van der Waals Contacts for Barrier‐Free p‐Type TMD Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Topological van der Waals contacts represent a new class of electrodes for 2D semiconductors, enabling precise control of the Schottky barrier height (SBH) and contact resistance (RC) through interlayer distance and orbital hybridization engineering. In Se‐based transition metal dichalcogenides, these contacts achieve an ultralow SBH of 7 meV, RC of 0.
