On the social induction of Alzheimer's disease: An index theorem aging model for amyloid formation
The central 'risk factor' for Alzheimer's disease (AD) is age. From first principles, we construct a mathematical model of protein folding and its in vivo regulation that gives this result in a natural manner.

On the bounds of the forgotten topological index
Summary: The forgotten topological index is defined as the sum of cubes of the degrees of the vertices of the molecular graph \(G\). In this paper, we obtain, analyze, and compare various lower bounds for the forgotten topological index involving the number of vertices, edges, and maximum and minimum vertex degree.

Large Transverse Thermoelectric Effect in Weyl Semimetal TaIrTe4 Engineered for Photodetection
This experimental work shows that the anomalous scanning photocurrent response patterns of the Weyl semimetal TaIrTe4${\rm TaIrTe}_4$ under visible and long‐wave infrared illumination are due to a large transverse thermoelectric response of the material.

On the Forgotten Topological Index of Signed Graphs
UDC 519.17 The forgotten topological index denoted by $F(G)$ of a graph $G=(V,E)$ is defined as follows: $F(G)=\displaystyle\sum\nolimits_{i=1}^{n}\!d_v^3,$ where $d_v$ denotes the degree of the vertex $v.$ We extend the notion of forgotten topological index to signed graphs and introduce the $MS$-index of a signed graph.

On the topology and index of minimal surfaces
We show that for an immersed two-sided minimal surface in $R^3$, there is a lower bound on the index depending on the genus and number of ends. Using this, we show the nonexistence of an embedded minimal surface in $R^3$ of index $2$, as conjectured by Choe.

This work introduces a swelling‐induced, stress‐assisted water‐soluble PVA tape strategy to transfer‐print nanodiamond quantum‐sensor arrays onto soft, curved biological interfaces. The room‐temperature, water‐triggered process achieves >98% fidelity and residue‐free integration, enabling conformal quantum sensing on contact lenses, neural probes, and ...

The topological period-index problem over 8-complexes, II
We complete the study of the topological period-index problem over 8dimensional finite CW complexes started in a preceding paper. More precisely,we determine the sharp upper bound of the index of a topological Brauer class$\alpha\in H^3(X;\mathbb{Z ...

On the extremal cactus graphs for variable sum exdeg index with a fixed number of cycles
The variable sum exdeg index, introduced by Vukičević [Croat. Chem. Acta 84 (2011) 87–91] for predicting the octanol-water partition coefficient of certain chemical compounds, of a graph G is defined as where a is any positive real number different from ...

3D Printing Innovations in Polymeric Porous and Patterned Architecture
Polymeric foams occupy a unique structural space between dense solids and open networks, where engineered void fraction governs mechanical compliance, thermal resistance, and mass transport. Additive manufacturing now enables precise spatial control over cellular architecture, unlocking designer foam structures across applications spanning crash ...
