Electrically tunable low-density superconductivity in a monolayer topological insulator [PDF]
A monolayer of many talents Superconductors with a topologically nontrivial band structure have been predicted to exhibit exotic properties. However, such materials are few and far between. Now, two groups show that the monolayer of the material tungsten

Zero-bias photocurrent in ferromagnetic topological insulator
By magnetic-doping, the electronic band structure of a topological insulator can be significantly altered to yield functional behaviour. Here, the authors demonstrate a large photocurrent response, and its control, under zero-bias in an optimally ...

Topological crystalline insulator states in Pb(1-x)Sn(x)Se
Topological insulators are a novel class of quantum materials in which time-reversal symmetry, relativistic (spin-orbit) effects and an inverted band structure result in electronic metallic states on the surfaces of bulk crystals.

4D spinless topological insulator in a periodic electric circuit [PDF]
According to the mathematical classification of topological band structures, there exist a number of fascinating topological states in dimensions larger than three with exotic boundary phenomena and interesting topological responses.

The study explores structural and magnetic properties of one of the most recent topological quantum materials (MnBi2Te4). The Mn‐poor structure leads to stacking faults (quintuple layer ‐ QL of Bi2Te3 formation instead of a septuple layer ‐ SL of MnBi2Te4), resulting in a coexistence between weak antiferromagnetism and ferromagnetism.

Distinct topological properties in Ce monopnictides having correlated f electrons: CeN vs. CeBi
The hitherto-studied topological nature in Ce monopnictides (CePn) has been discussed based solely on their p-d band inversion, despite the existence of f electrons.

Magnetoelectric polarizability and axion electrodynamics in crystalline insulators
The orbital motion of electrons in a three-dimensional solid can generate a pseudoscalar magnetoelectric coupling $\theta$, a fact we derive for the single-particle case using a recent theory of polarization in weakly inhomogeneous materials.
