On \(\beta\)-topological rings

2021
Summary: In this paper, we introduce a generalized form of the class of topological rings, namely \(\beta\)-topological rings by using \(\beta\)-open sets which itself is a generalized form of open sets. Translation of open(closed) sets and multiplication by invertible elements of open(closed) sets of the \(\beta\)-topological rings are investigated ...

Topological Rings of Quotients

Canadian Journal of Mathematics, 1974
We investigate here the notion of a topological ring of quotients of a topological ring with respect to an arbitrary Gabriel (idempotent) filter of right ideals. We describe the topological ring of quotients first as a subring of the algebraic ring of quotients, and then show it is a topological bicommutator of a topological injective R-module.

Ideals in Topological Rings

Canadian Journal of Mathematics, 1964
We present here an investigation of the theory of one-sided ideals in a topological ring R. One of our aims is to discuss the question of "left" properties versus "right" properties. A problem of this sort is to decide if (a) all the modular maximal right ideals of R are closed if and only if all the modular maximal left ideals of R are closed.

Topologic preconditions for ring chromatids

Medical Hypotheses, 1999
The paper discusses a mechanism apt to convert the topology of a straight chromatid into one that could lead to the formation of a O-ring. It is predicted that such conversions might occur only in exceptional circumstances, due to a combination of poorly correlated events.

Endomorphism Rings and Gabriel Topologies

Canadian Journal of Mathematics, 1984
A basic tool in the usual presentation of the Morita theorems is the correspondence theorem for projective modules. Let RM be a left R-module and B = HomR(M, M). When M is a progenerator, there is a close connection (in fact a lattice isomorphism) between left R-submodules of M and left ideals of B, which can be applied to the solution of problems such
