On lambda-rings and topological realization [PDF]
It is shown that most possibly truncated power series rings admit uncountably many filtered lambda-ring structures. The question of how many of these filtered lambda-ring structures are topologically realizable by the K-theory of torsionfree spaces is also considered for truncated polynomial rings.

Ligand‐dependent transcriptional heterogeneity in cell cycle gene expression delays G1/S entry
EGF and HRG induce distinct G1/S progression programs in ErbB2‐amplified BT474 breast cancer cells. Despite activating the potent ErbB2–ErbB3 heterodimer, HRG does not accelerate cell‐cycle entry. Instead, EGF promotes earlier restriction‐point passage via ERK–FOS signaling, whereas HRG activates the AKT–MYC axis, driving transcriptional heterogeneity ...

M-Polynomial and Topological Indices of Benzene Ring Embedded in P-Type Surface Network
The representation of chemical compounds and chemical networks with the M-polynomials is a new idea, and it gives nice and good results of the topological indices.

Let \((R, \tau)\) be a topological ring and denote by \(N(\tau)\) the \(\tau\)-closure of \(\{0\}\) in \(R\). The author calls \(\tau\) a minimal ring topology if there is no ring topology \(\sigma\) on \(R\) strictly weaker than \(\tau\) with \(N(\sigma) = N(\tau)\).

Synergistic perspectives—How single‐molecule biophysics complement biochemical understanding
In this review, we discuss how ensemble biochemistry and single‐molecule approaches are complementary, outline commonly used single‐molecule techniques, and illustrate their relevance through two representative case studies: chromatin organization by SMC complexes and pathway choice during DNA double‐strand break repair.

Artificial molecular machines and motors—Design and control of nanoscale motion
Molecules are constantly moving because of thermal fluctuations, but random motion alone cannot be exploited to perform directional tasks. Artificial molecular machines use chemical, electrical, or light energy to bias this motion. Molecular shuttles, rotary motors, and supramolecular pumps illustrate how nanoscale movement can be controlled and ...

Nodal rings and drumhead surface states in phononic crystals
3D topological nodal lines that give rise to drumhead surface states could help study a range of exotic topological phenomena. Here, Deng et al. experimentally demonstrate 3D nodal ring dispersion and topological drumhead surface states for acoustic ...

Membrane composition and thermodynamic identity as boundaries of life for synthetic cell research
What makes a cell a cell? The boundary of a living cell is not just a wall. Read as a Markov blanket, the membrane separates internal from external states, generating identity and non‐equilibrium order. Can this identity be rebuilt from scratch in a synthetic cell?

On a new radical in a topological ring [PDF]
The radical which is referred to in this paper was treated extensively by Wright in the case of topological groups. The present course of attack here is threefold: (1) to show the proximity of large powers of topologically nilpotent elements to the radical in a topological ring, (2) to determine a nilpotence condition on the radical and (3) to ...

ON SOFT RING AND SOFT TOPOLOGICAL RING
Soft set theory is an affective mathematical tool to solve problems that involves uncertainties. Despite the development in the theoretical structure of soft sets, researchers did not make consensus formulation of soft element. In this study soft ring is redefined by the help of soft operation which are based on a natural definition of soft element ...
