De Rham model for string topology [PDF]

open access: yesIntern. Math. Research Notices 55 (2004) 2955-2981, 2003
A De Rham model for string topology based on the theory of iterated integrals is presented.

Super-Chern-Simons Theory as Superstring Theory

open access: yes, 2004
Superstrings and topological strings with supermanifolds as target space play a central role in the recent developments in string theory. Nevertheless the rules for higher-genus computations are still unclear or guessed in analogy with bosonic and ...

Singular Electromagnetics: From Phase Singularities to Optical Skyrmions and Beyond

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, Volume 4, Issue 5, May 2025.
Singular electromagnetics/optics studies multidimensional topological defects of electromagnetic fields (also known as optical singularities), including phase and polarization singularities, 3D singularities (e.g., optical skyrmions, merons, hopfions, knots, links, and Möbius strips), and even higher‐dimensional singularities.

An elementary proof of the string topology structure of compact oriented surfaces [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2011
We give a new proof of the string topology structure of a compact oriented surface of genus g greater than or equal to 2, using elementary algebraic topology. This reproves the result of Vaintrob.

SO(10) Cosmic Strings and SU(3) Color Cheshire Charge

open access: yes, 1993
Certain cosmic strings that occur in GUT models such as $SO(10)$ can carry a magnetic flux which acts nontrivially on objects carrying $SU(3)_{color}$ quantum numbers.

Network‐Based Integrative Analysis to Identify Key Genes and Corresponding Reporter Biomolecules for Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 14, Issue 9, May 2025.
ABSTRACT Background The malignant neoplasm of the TNBC is the leading cause of death among Indian women. Recent studies identified the global burden of TNBC affecting approximately more than 40 percent of all BC cases in women worldwide. The absence of expression of receptors such as ER, PR, and HER2 characterizes TNBC.

Superconformal partition functions and non-perturbative topological strings

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
We propose a non-perturbative definition for refined topological strings. This can be used to compute the partition function of superconformal theories in 5 dimensions on squashed S 5 and the superconformal index of a large number of 6 dimensional (2, 0)

Strings in metric spaces [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
We introduce strings in metric spaces and define string complexes of metric spaces. We describe the class of 2-dimensional topological spaces which arise in this way from finite metric spaces.

M-Theory and Topological Strings--II [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 1998
It is shown how the topological string amplitudes encode the BPS structure of wrapped M2 branes in M-theory compactification on Calabi-Yau threefolds. This in turn is related to a twisted supersymmetric index in 5 dimensions which receives contribution only from BPS states.
