Joint function in marmosets and tamarins: Insights from computational modeling of hip extensor muscles

open access: yesJournal of Anatomy, EarlyView.
This pilot study uses computational modeling to analyze five hip extensor muscles in four Callitrichidae species, aiming to identify adaptations to different leaping behaviors. Muscle topology was reconstructed from microCT scans to model instantaneous muscle moment arms and muscle strains during hip extension.

Errant Implicature

open access: yesPhilosophical Perspectives, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT To measure is to err. Serving both numeric and non‐numeric measurement, the language of measurement refers to margins of error, within which measurement reports locate their measurements.
