Topological effects on the magnetoconductivity in topological insulators [PDF]
Three-dimensional strong topological insulators (TIs) guarantee the existence of a 2-D conducting surface state which completely covers the surface of the TI. The TI surface state necessarily wraps around the TI's top, bottom, and two sidewalls, and is therefore topologically distinct from ordinary 2-D electron gases (2DEGs) which are planar.

A powerful electronic control system enables a dielectric elastomer pump to operate at resonance, matching conventional pump performance. Using self‐sensing to reconstruct load pressure dynamically, the adaptive control adjusts resonance frequency accordingly.

An important feature of modern science and engineering is that data of various kinds is being produced at an unprecedented rate. This is so in part because of new experimental methods, and in part because of the increase in the availability of high ...

In this study, the interplay of dipolar dynamics and ionic charge transport in MOF compounds is investigated. Synthesizing the novel structure CFA‐25 with integrated freely rotating dipolar groups, local and macroscopic effects, including interactions with Cs cations are explored.

On the coarsest topology preserving continuity [PDF]
We study a topology on a space of functions, called sticking topology, with the property to be the weakest among the topologies preserving continuity. In suitable frameworks, this topology preserves borelianity, local integrability, right continuity and ...

Thermally Induced Gelling Systems Based on Patchy Polymeric Micelles
A novel strategy to design thermally induced gelling systems with tunable material properties is reported. Polymeric mixed‐shell micelles displaying multiple thermosensitive patchy domains formed hydrogels by assembling into well‐entangled worm‐like network structures upon heating to body temperature. The patchy micelle design significantly affects the
