Non-Hermitian topology and exceptional-point geometries

Nature Reviews Physics, 2022
Non-Hermitian theory is a theoretical framework used to describe open systems. It offers a powerful tool in the characterization of both the intrinsic degrees of freedom of a system and the interactions with the external environment.

Topological Games and Hyperspace Topologies

Set-Valued Analysis, 1998
The author uses the ``approach spaces'' of \textit{R. Lowen} [Approach spaces: the missing link in the topology-uniformity-metric triad (1997; Zbl 0891.54001)] to give a unified treatment of various hypertopologies and their properties such as separation axioms, metrizability etc.

Hydrogel Adhesion: A Supramolecular Synergy of Chemistry, Topology, and Mechanics

Advanced Functional Materials, 2019
Adhering hydrogels to various materials is fundamental to a large array of established and emerging applications. The last few years have seen transformative advances in achieving strong hydrogel adhesion, which is a supramolecular phenomenon.

The Topology of Free Topological Groups

Journal of Mathematical Sciences, 2005
This paper deals with the notion of the free topological group \(F(X)\) in the sense of Markov and with the topological Abelian group \(A(X)\) which is generated by a Tikhonov space \(X\). A variety of results is presented to demonstrate how useful explicit descriptions of the topologies on these groups are.

Topology and Topological Spaces

1997
We have now seen four different proofs of the Fundamental Theorem of Algebra. The first two were purely analysis, while the second pair involved a wide collection of algebraic ideas. However, we should realize that even in these algebraic proofs we did not totally leave analysis.

-Fuzzifying topologies as -topologies

Fuzzy Sets and Systems, 2002
The author proves that, for every completely distributive complete lattice \(L\) with a locally multiplicative way below relation, the category of \(L\)-fuzzifying topological spaces can be embedded in the category of stratified \(L\)-topological spaces as a simultaneously bireflective and bicoreflective full subcategoy.
