Micromachined vibratory gyroscopes controlled by a high order band-pass sigma delta modulator.

open access: yes, 2007
—This work reports on the design of novel closed-loop control systems for the sense mode of a vibratory-rate gyroscope based on a high-order sigma-delta modulator (SDM). A low-pass and two distinctive bandpass topologies are derived, and their advantages

Experiments and Computational Fluid Dynamics on Vapor and Gas Cavitation for Oil Hydraulics

open access: yesChemical Engineering &Technology, Volume 46, Issue 1, Page 147-157, January 2023., 2023
A computational fluid dynamics cavitation model for vapor and gas cavitation in hydraulic oil is presented, parameterized, and validated. For numerous operating points, cavitation in a realistic valve geometry is visualized using shadowgraphs and high‐speed cameras. Vapor and gas cavitation are experimentally separated by complete degassing of the oil.

Non-Hermitian boundary and interface states in nonreciprocal higher-order topological metals and electrical circuits [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review B, 2019
Non-Hermitian skin-edge states emerge only at one edge in one-dimensional nonreciprocal chains, where all states are localized at the edge irrespective of eigenvalues. The bulk topological number is the winding number associated with the complex energy spectrum, which is well defined for metals.

Chopping for over 50 MHz gain‐bandwidth product current sense amplifiers achieving input noise level of 8.5 nV/√Hz

open access: yesInternational Journal of Circuit Theory and Applications, Volume 50, Issue 12, Page 4179-4190, December 2022., 2022
An accurate, high‐gain, high‐speed, fully differential difference amplifier for current sensing utilizing the chopper approach was implemented using a high chopping frequency in the MHz range. The usability of this circuit is demonstrated for a 500 kHz rectangular signal with an amplitude of only approximately 2 mV and a chopping frequency of 20 MHz. A

Nanoscale Resist‐Free Patterning of Halogenated Zeolitic Imidazolate Frameworks by Extreme UV Lithography

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work presents a direct, resist‐free patterning method for metal–organic frameworks using extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography, achieving a resolution of 40 nm. The EUV mechanism is investigated through synchrotron in situ X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy.
