This paper proposes a novel method for deriving dual converters, namely deriving current‐source converters from voltage‐source counterparts, and vice versa. The conventional derivation method is based on the transformation of circuit topology, in which series connections are converted into parallel connections, and vice versa.

TopoMEMS Circuit: Step-Variable-Resettable MEMS Capacitor for Topological Electrical Circuit
2021 21st International Conference on Solid-State Sensors, Actuators and Microsystems (Transducers), 2021Recently, emulation of topological states based on electrical circuits draws much attention in view of future quantum computing. We have demonstrated a topological phase transition by switching a step-variable-resettable SOI-MEMS capacitor for the first time.

A Graph-Modeling Approach to Topology Simplification in Power Converters
IEEE transactions on power electronics, 2022In this article, we propose a topology simplification method (TSM) for power converters, based on graph theory, to improve the converter design. In the proposed method, a directed graph is first established to model a converter circuits, from which the ...

High-Efficiency Single-Stage On-Board Charger for Electrical Vehicles
IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, 2021This paper presents an isolated single-stage on-board electric vehicle charger without an intermediate DC-link. Based on an isolated current-source topology, the converter features soft-switching in semiconductors regardless of load variation for the ...

Topology Optimization for Magnetic Circuits Dedicated to Electric Propulsion
IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 2014In this paper, we present a method to solve inverse problems of electromagnetic circuit design, which are formulated as a topology optimization problem. Indeed, by imposing the magnetic field inside a region, we search the best material distribution into variable domains.

Topological simplification of electrical circuits by super-component analysis
2015 13th International Conference on Document Analysis and Recognition (ICDAR), 2015An electrical or an electronic circuit often contains special combinations of circuit symbols in the form of sub-circuits. Identification and analysis of these sub-circuits can substantially simplify the underlying topology of a circuit. This paper explains our maiden attempt towards topological simplification of a circuit by identifying two important ...

Observation of corner states in second-order topological electric circuits
Physical Review B, 2020Recently, the topological states in electric circuits have attracted a great deal of attention, and they have formed the basis of the field of so-called topoelectrical circuits. We realize a second-order topological electric circuit with capacitors and inductors, and we observe the corner states that exist in the bulk gap, the continuum of bulk modes ...
