Exergetic Port-Hamiltonian systems modeling language

open access: yesHeliyon
Mathematical modeling of real-world physical systems requires the consistent combination of a multitude of physical laws and phenomenological models. This challenging task can be greatly simplified by hierarchically decomposing systems into ultimately ...

Topos quantum theory on quantization-induced sheaves [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In this paper, we construct a sheaf-based topos quantum theory. It is well known that a topos quantum theory can be constructed on the topos of presheaves on the category of commutative von Neumann algebras of bounded operators on a Hilbert space.

Differential regulation of ZFAS1 splice variants by endoplasmic reticulum stress in hepatocyte cell lines

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
ZFAS1 is a lncRNA promoting cell proliferation and migration, exhibiting high expression in various cancers. It is conserved, widely expressed, and produces multiple splice variants with unclear roles. We identified several splice variants in hepatocyte models, and found that inhibiting or suppressing regulators of the unfolded protein response (PERK ...

Artistic Expression of Russian National-Cultural Concept of River in M. Yu. Lermontov’s Works

open access: yesНаучный диалог, 2019
The author’s individual artistic expression of the concept of RIVER in the artistic world of M. Yu. Lermontov is considered. The aim of the research is a complex philological (linguistic and literary) analysis of the RIVER concept in the Russian national

Eu-topos / ou-topos: utopías y futuro

open access: yesOltreoceano, 2021
The aim of this study is to demonstrate how utopias reclaim a circumscribed microcosm that takes the contours of the island evoked by the canon of utopian writing. It also shows how they reactivate the dream of reaching eu-topos, the beautiful place which thus prevails over the concept of ou-topos, the place that does not exist.

Grothendieck quantaloids for allegories of enriched categories [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
For any small involutive quantaloid Q we define, in terms of symmetric quantaloid-enriched categories, an involutive quantaloid Rel(Q) of Q-sheaves and relations, and a category Sh(Q) of Q-sheaves and functions; the latter is equivalent to the category ...

Lipid Nanoparticles for the Delivery of CRISPR/Cas9 Machinery to Enable Site‐Specific Integration of CFTR and Mutation‐Agnostic Disease Rescue

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) are optimized to co‐deliver Cas9‐encoding messenger RNA (mRNA), a single guide RNA (sgRNA) targeting the endogenous cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) gene, and homologous linear double‐stranded donor DNA (ldsDNA) templates encoding CFTR.

Predicative toposes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We explain the motivation for looking for a predicative analogue of the notion of a topos and propose two definitions. For both notions of a predicative topos we will present the basic results, providing the groundwork for future work in this ...

Complex Cryptographic and User‐Centric Physically Unclonable Functions Enabled by Strain‐Sensitive Nanocrystals via Selective Ligand Exchange

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates electromechanical PUFs that improve on traditional electric PUFs. The electron transport materials are coated randomly through selective ligand exchange. It produces multiple keys and a key with motion dependent on percolation and strain, and approaches almost ideal inter‐ and intra‐hamming distances.
