The Tomato PR‐5 Proteins PR‐5x and NP24 Exert Antifungal Activity Against Fusarium oxysporum

open access: yesPlant Pathology, Volume 74, Issue 4, Page 1097-1113, May 2025.
PR‐5x and NP24 accumulate in the xylem sap of resistant tomato upon infection. Gene knockouts (red) do not affect resistance, but overexpression of NP24 (blue) reduces susceptibility to Fusarium wilt. ABSTRACT Vascular wilt diseases, caused by the soilborne pathogen Fusarium oxysporum (Fo), significantly impact agriculture and horticulture. Traditional

Physical Controls on the Variability of Offshore Propagation of Convection From Sumatra

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Atmospheres, Volume 130, Issue 7, 16 April 2025.
Abstract Previous work has explained the physical mechanisms behind nocturnal offshore propagation of convection southwest of Sumatra. Low‐level moisture flux convergence due to the land breeze front controls the progression of convection, typically a squall line, away from the coast overnight.

Insights into the renal pathophysiology in Hermansky‐Pudlak syndrome‐1 from urinary extracellular vesicle proteomics and a new mouse model

open access: yesFEBS Letters, Volume 599, Issue 7, Page 1055-1074, April 2025.
Hermansky‐Pudlak syndrome type 1 (HPS‐1) is a rare, autosomal recessive disorder with poorly understood renal involvement. Urinary extracellular vesicle (uEV) proteomics and a novel Hps1 mouse model reveal mitochondrial abnormalities and lipid accumulation in HPS‐1 kidney proximal tubule cells. Serum ApoA1 correlates with kidney function in our patient

Synthetic Lethality of SHP2 and XIAP Suppresses Proliferation and Metastasis in KRAS‐mutant Nonsmall Cell Lung Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 15, April 17, 2025.
Embelin cotargets SHP2 to disrupt the SHP2/GRB2/SOS complex, inhibiting cancer‐related signaling pathways such as MAPK, (PI3K)/AKT pathway, and XIAP to induce apoptosis signaling pathway, respectively, leading to synthetic lethality in KRAS‐mutant NSCLC cells both in vivo and in vitro.

Representación de estructuras argumentativas mediante el análisis de redes sociales.

open access: yesREDES: Revista Hispana para el Análisis de Redes Sociales, 2006
Reticular Analysis of Discourse (ARD) refers to a large range of techniques that intend to represent the discourse as a network of meanings. The idea is well simple: the words and/or propositions are nodes of a linguistic network that relates them, and ...

ACAT1‐Mediated ME2 Acetylation Drives Chemoresistance in Ovarian Cancer by Linking Glutaminolysis to Lactate Production

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 14, April 10, 2025.
Chemotherapy reduces glucose transporter expression and glucose uptake in cancer cells, leading to decreased pyruvate levels. This decline prompts ACAT1‐mediated acetylation of ME2 at Lys156, enhancing ME2 activity and promoting lactate production from glutamine.
