This study examined competition for woody browse between elephants and reintroduced black rhinoceroses in Gonarezhou National Park during the 2022 dry season. We found substantial overlap in their feeding areas, plant species selection, and foraging heights, although elephants preferred larger stem diameters.

Effect of Low Red‐to‐Far‐Red Light on Stem Elongation and Pith Cell Development in Dicots
ABSTRACT In dense canopies, light becomes a limiting factor for plant growth. Many plants respond to neighbor cues by growing taller to improve light capture, a phenomenon known as the shade avoidance syndrome (SAS). The major neighbor detection is via enrichment of far‐red (FR) light that leads to a low red:far‐red light ratio (R:FR), suppressing ...

Abstract The H‐shaped feature, characterized by a single connecting channel (CC) linking two inflows, is a common geomorphological unit in delta river networks. This structure plays a critical role in redistributing upstream flows, affecting the hydrological connectivity of the network.
