Effects of normalization on the entropy-based TOPSIS method

Expert Systems With Applications, 2019
Abstract In this paper, the frequently used normalization methods for the entropy method (EM) and the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) when these two methods are used in combination with each other are summarized.

A New Direction in TOPSIS Method for Evaluation of Alternates: R-TOPSIS

2021
Effective decision making is essential to achieve sustainable development in manufacturing industry. In present work, a modified condition based TOPSIS method: R1-TOPSIS—R2-TOPSIS—R3-TOPSIS methods are introduced. In case, there is significant difference between the positive separation measure values, and it is suggested to use R1-TOPSIS.

A Data Classifier Based on TOPSIS Method

Fourth International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery (FSKD 2007), 2007
As a multiple criteria decision making (MCMD) technique, the technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution(TOPSIS) traditionally has been applied in multiple criteria decision analysis. Based on D.Wu's data mining model, the TOPSIS model presented in this paper has improved from two aspects.

Fuzzy TOPSIS method based on alpha level sets with an application to bridge risk assessment

open access: yesExpert Systems With Applications, 2006
This paper proposes a fuzzy TOPSIS method based on alpha level sets and presents a nonlinear programming (NLP) solution procedure. The relationship between the fuzzy TOPSIS method and fuzzy weighted average (FWA) is also discussed.

A direct interval extension of TOPSIS method

Expert Systems with Applications, 2013
The TOPSIS method is a technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution. This technique currently is one of the most popular methods for Multiple Criteria Decision Making (MCDM). The TOPSIS method was primary developed for dealing with only real-valued data.

An approach to generalization of fuzzy TOPSIS method

Information Sciences, 2013
The TOPSIS method is a technique for establishing order preference by similarity to the ideal solution, and was primarily developed for dealing with real-valued data. This technique is currently one of most popular methods for Multiple Criteria Decision Making (MCDM).
