Fourier Mass Lower Bounds for Batchelor‐Regime Passive Scalars

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, Volume 79, Issue 6, Page 1449-1466, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Batchelor predicted that a passive scalar ψν$\psi ^\nu$ with diffusivity ν$\nu$, advected by a smooth fluid velocity, should typically have Fourier mass distributed as |ψ̂ν|2(k)≈|k|−d$|\widehat{\psi }^\nu |^2(k) \approx |k|^{-d}$ for |k|≪ν−1/2$|k| \ll \nu ^{-1/2}$.

Evaluating Anesthetics for Improving Scientific Research and Welfare Using Larval Zebrafish

open access: yesComprehensive Physiology, Volume 16, Issue 3, June 2026.
Using physiological and behavioral assays, we quantified the effectiveness and appropriateness of six commonly used fish anesthetics on zebrafish embryos. Different anesthetics performed better under different contexts. Figure prepared using BioRender.com.

CALPUCK: An Open Python Tool for Cremer–Pople Ring Puckering Analysis Including a New 2D Mapping of Seven‐Membered Rings

open access: yesChemPlusChem, Volume 91, Issue 6, June 2026.
CALPUCK is a free, open‐source Python tool for Cremer–Pople puckering analysis of five‐, six‐, and seven‐membered rings. It introduces a novel two‐dimensional mapping for seven‐membered systems, enabling intuitive visualization of their complex conformational landscapes and facilitating rapid classification of ring conformers.
