SINGULAR TORIC FANO VARIETIES

Russian Academy of Sciences. Sbornik Mathematics, 1993

Toric Modifications of Free Toric Varieties

2004
We study the effect of the toric modifications, described e.g. in [13], on a certain class of complete intersection toric varieties. The construction is based on the notion of Newton polyhedron.

On toric varieties and toric stacks

In this dissertation, we prove a number of results about toric varieties by utilizing Cox's construction of a toric variety as a good quotient of an open subset of affine space by the action of a diagonalizable group. Our first result is a Hirzebruch-Riemann-Roch theorem for three-dimensional Artin toric stacks.

Toric Varieties and Algebraic Monoids

Journal of Lie Theory, 1992
Let \(\mathbb{K}\) be a field and \(\mathbb{K}^* = G_ m\) the multiplicative group of \(\mathbb{K}\) viewed as an algebraic group over \(\mathbb{K}\). A \(\mathbb{K}\)-torus is an algebraic \(\mathbb{K}\)-group isomorphic to a direct product of such groups.
