Stable rationality of hypersurfaces of mock toric variety I
We introduce a mock toric variety, a generalization of a toric variety. For a non-toric example, Del-Pezzo surfaces are mock toric varieties. These new varieties inherit some properties of mock toric varieties.

A toric prevariety is a normal complex prevariety endowed with an effective regular torus action that has a dense orbit. We introduce the concept of a system of fans in a lattice and obtain an equivalence of the category of systems of fans and the ...

D-brane gauge theories from toric singularities and toric duality
Via partial resolution of Abelian orbifolds we present an algorithm for extracting a consistent set of gauge theory data for an arbitrary toric variety whose singularity a D-brane probes.

Images of toric varieties and liftability of the Frobenius morphism
The celebrated proof of the Hartshorne conjecture by Shigefumi Mori allowed for the study of the geometry of higher dimensional varieties through the analysis of deformations of rational curves.

Extending work of Bielawski-Dancer and Konno, we develop a theory of toric hyperkahler varieties, which involves toric geometry, matroid theory and convex polyhedra.
