Climate Change Risks and Customer Concentration: Evidence From US‐Listed Firms
ABSTRACT While prior studies have investigated climate risks in supply chains, customer ESG pressures, and shared climate exposure, this paper is, to the best of our knowledge, the first to provide direct empirical evidence on the relationship between climate change risks and firms' customer concentration.

ABSTRACT This study investigates how directors with environmental protection (EP) backgrounds influence corporate biodiversity concern (BIO) among Chinese A‐share listed firms from 2008 to 2023. Drawing on Upper Echelons Theory, we argue that directors' environmental expertise shapes firms' biodiversity strategies.

Abstract Monoclonal antibody (mAb) titer monitoring is a key capability during process development and optimization, enabling timely decision making and increasing the speed of development. Raman spectroscopy is a prominent process analytical technology (PAT), but resource‐efficient calibration strategies for the development of transferable models are ...

Synthetic Aperture Radar as a Tool for Tornado Classification in Forested Areas
Canada’s tornado climatology has historically been challenging to accurately assess. Many Canadian tornadoes are currently rated on the Enhanced Fujita scale using treefall as a damage indicator, though this approach may occasionally underestimate ...

Most Say Disaster Spending Does Not Require Offsetting Cuts: A Pew Research Center/Washington Post Survey [PDF]
As Oklahoma recovers from severe damage caused by last week's tornado, a majority of Americans (59%) say federal spending in response to natural disasters is emergency aid that does not need to be offset by cuts to other programs, while 29% say such ...

Extended U.S. Tornado Outbreak During Late May 2019: A Forecast of Opportunity
The second half of May 2019 was an unusually active period for tornadic thunderstorms across the U.S. Great Plains, Midwest, and lower Great Lakes. While this period typically coincides with the peak climatological frequency of tornadoes, preliminary ...

Navigating Storms: Examining Vultures’ Behavior in Response to Extreme Weather Events
Extreme weather events such as hurricanes and tornadoes have been found to change the spatial and temporal abundance of raptors by decreasing survival and forcing the emigration of individuals, or by increasing habitat heterogeneity and facilitating ...

Finite Element Modelling of Rocking and Hybrid Precast Walls under Seismic Loading
ABSTRACT In recent years, self‐centring systems have received considerable research interest in the seismic design of precast concrete structures for their ability to limit damage and satisfy resilience requirements. Rocking and hybrid structural walls, characterised by the formation of a single gap at the wall–foundation interface, mitigate damage by ...
