Optomechanical torque magnetometry
Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics, 2016A thin film of magnetic permalloy is integrated into a photonic crystal split-beam cavity allowing for optomechanical detection of magnetic torques under applied fields. The magnetic response of the magnetometer is observed under ambient conditions.

Torque standard machine for calibration of reference torque wrench and torque transducer at Nim
Tenth International Symposium on Precision Engineering Measurements and Instrumentation, 2019The paper describes a new torque standard machine at NIM. The new reference torque standard machine is designed to calibrate the reference torque wrench and torque transducer. The relative expanded uncertainty of this torque standard from 10Nm to 5000Nm is better than 5×10-4(k=2).

Automatic Torque Controller for Torque Motors
Journal of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers, 1952The use of the automatic torque controller permits the full advantages of torque motors to be realized for film take-up and holdback duty without being handicapped by their inherent limitations when operated in the conventional manner.

A Practical and Adaptive Method to Achieve EMG-Based Torque Estimation for a Robotic Exoskeleton
IEEE/ASME transactions on mechatronics, 2019To improve the efficacy of robotic exoskeleton-based rehabilitation training, active joint torque of subjects should be detected. This paper presents a practical and adaptive method to estimate active joint torque using electromyography (EMG) signals for

Two-terminal spin–orbit torque magnetoresistive random access memory
Nature Electronics, 2018Spin-transfer torque magnetoresistive random access memory (STT-MRAM) is an attractive alternative to existing random access memory technologies due to its non-volatility, fast operation and high endurance.

Direct Torque Control for Switched Reluctance Motor to Obtain High Torque–Ampere Ratio
IEEE transactions on industrial electronics (1982. Print), 2019The direct torque control (DTC) method was introduced into the switched reluctance motor to reduce its inherent output torque ripple. However, the conventional DTC method produces negative torque more or less, which reduces the torque–ampere ratio of ...

Moment of Inertia and Friction Torque Coefficient Identification in a Servo Drive System
IEEE transactions on industrial electronics (1982. Print), 2019This paper proposes a new method to identify the mechanical parameters of a servo drive system, such as the moment of inertia and friction torque coefficients.

A precision torque balance for the measurement of small torques
Transactions of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, Part I: Communication and Electronics, 1955THE development and testing of torque motors for precision gyroscopes require the accurate measurement of the small torques developed. These are stall torques, and are measured at various angular positions of the rotor with respect to the stator. The magnitude of these torques is generally less than 50,000 dyne-centimeters (dyne-cm).

Vector space decomposition (VSD) model is widely used for dual three-phase permanent magnet synchronous machine (dual-PMSM) control, in which two direct-quadrature (DQ) frames, DQ1 and DQ2, are introduced to facilitate the controller design.

Induced torque in an ellipsoid. Torque anisotropy in potassium
Physical Review B, 1976We present the theory of the induced torque in a conducting ellipsoid rotating in a magnetic field. The results for compensated metals and for metals with open orbits are not strikingly different from those found in a case of a sphere. However, in a noncompensated metal with closed orbits only, large nonsaturating anisotropies appear.
