The study of complex torque coefficient approach based on benchmark

2011 International Conference on Electrical and Control Engineering, 2011
The paper analyzed the application of complex torque coefficient (CTC) approach based on the IEEE 2th benchmark of SSR. It deduced mechanical and electric CTC, and studied the influence of unstable model outside the shaft. If there is no unstable model, the CTC can be computed just by the transfer function.

Review of mathematical models of both the power coefficient and the torque coefficient in wind turbines

2015 IEEE 24th International Symposium on Industrial Electronics (ISIE), 2015
This paper presents a review of different mathematical models of both the power coefficient and torque coefficient in wind turbines. These coefficients are used to realize the analysis of a wind turbine, depending on the type of turbine, which is used. The coefficients of power and torque establish the relationship between wind power and power obtained

Failure analysis of bolted joints: Effect of friction coefficients in torque–preloading relationship

Engineering Failure Analysis, 2011
Abstract The aim of this study is to provide an experimental methodology useful to determine the friction coefficients in bolted joints and, therefore, to relate precisely the tightening torque to the preloading force. The components under investigation are clamped joints made of aluminium alloy and used in front motorbike suspensions to connect ...

Measurements of Apparent Mass Torque Coefficients of Two-Dimensional Centrifugal Impellers

Journal of Fluids Engineering, 1986
Apparent mass torque coefficients for fluctuations of flow rate and angular velocity are determined experimentally for two-dimensional centrifugal impellers. Nearly sinusoidal fluctuations of flow rate and angular velocity are produced by using crank mechanisms, and the resulting unsteady torque on the impeller is measured.

Estimation of Road Adhesion Coefficient Based on Tire Aligning Torque Distribution

Journal of Dynamic Systems, Measurement, and Control, 2017
Road adhesion coefficient is an important parameter in vehicle active safety control system. Many researchers estimate road adhesion coefficient by total tire self-aligning torque (SAT, also called front-axle aligning torque), which obtains the average road adhesion coefficient of front wheels, thus leading large estimation error.

Theorems of Torque Coefficients on Stability of Induction and Reluctance Machines

International Journal of Electrical Engineering & Education, 2001
Theoretical work has been developed for investigating the performance of the damping and synchronizing torque coefficients for polyphase induction machines and synchronous reluctance machines. Six theorems are analytically formulated and proved. These are used as a new study in machine stability courses and are found to be useful for engineering ...

The study of principle and applicability of complex torque coefficient approach

2011 International Conference on Electrical and Control Engineering, 2011
The paper analyzes the basic characteristics of the stable response of electromagnetic torque of synchronous generator, deduces the main calculation procedure of complex torque coefficient (CTC), and validates them by simulation. The study shows, the apply condition of CTC approach is the linearity and stability of the system.

Calculation of drag and torque coefficients by time-independent lattice-Boltzmann method

Physical Review E, 2014
A method is developed to calculate the drag and torque coefficients of an isolated particle in a Stokes flow. The method is based on solving the time-independent lattice-Boltzmann equation. The advantage of this method is that the algorithm is easy to code, the method can be applied to any shape of the particle without complicated implementation, and ...

Analytic expression of torque ripple by fourier coefficients of flux linkages

2015 IEEE International Electric Machines & Drives Conference (IEMDC), 2015
A major source for torque ripple is the harmonics in airgap permeance caused by stator slotting, permanent magnet (PM) flux barrier, etc. They are reflected in the flux linkages of the stator windings. In this work, we express the d and q-axis flux linkages as Fourier series after obtaining them using finite element analysis (FEA).
