New Methods of Induction Motor Torque Regulation

IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, 1976
Two methods of induction motor torque regulation are described utilizing speed and current feedback into the frequency and amplitude channels of a pulsewidth modulated inverter. Transfer characteristics illustrating the steady-state behavior of the two configurations are presented.

Robot manipulator control using recursive torque methods

SICE 2000. Proceedings of the 39th SICE Annual Conference. International Session Papers (IEEE Cat. No.00TH8545), 2002
A control law using recursive torque methods is designed for a 2-link SCARA robot manipulator. This control scheme uses previous torques acting on drive motors and error dynamics for present torques, and adopts relatively simple numerical methods and control algorithms that can be easily realizable.

Torque evaluation method of spherical motors using six-axis force/torque sensor

2016 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA), 2016
Spherical motors are classified as multi-degrees-of-freedom actuators. Several types of spherical motors are under investigation in the world because they will be useful for robots that currently use combination of 2 or 3 one-degree-of-freedom motors.

Intelligent Computing Methods for Indicated Torque Reconstruction

Proceedings of the 2004 Intelligent Sensors, Sensor Networks and Information Processing Conference, 2004., 2005
The paper proposes using a support vector machine to reconstruct indicated torque from the crank angle signal in an automotive engine. Support vector machines have been shown to perform extremely well in many classification and regression applications. The relationship between indicated torque and crankshaft angular velocity is a current research topic,

Adaptive computed torque method for robotic manipulator control

1987
This paper presents an adaptive control algorithm deduced from the computed torque method. A more accurate model of the discrepancy between the estimated dynamic terms in the computed torque method and the actual dynamic terms is proposed. The parameters of this new model are identified recursively, and they are used in the design of the discrete- time

Compensation method for determining small friction torques

Measurement Techniques, 1966
1. The compensation method serves to determine the nature of the friction torque variations as well as its absolute value over a wide range with respect to different parameters. 2. The above method can be used for designing an equipment capable of measuring friction torques with an error of 3–5%. 3.
