Investigation on the Measurement Method for Output Torque of a Spherical Motor

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
The output torque is an important performance indicator of a motor. Due to the special structure of a permanent magnet spherical motor (PMSM), it is difficult to measure its torque.

Airgap-Harmonic-Oriented Partitioned Design Method of PMV Motor with Improved Torque Performances

open access: yesCES Transactions on Electrical Machines and Systems
Here, we introduce a partitioned design method that is oriented toward airgap harmonic for permanent magnet vernier (PMV) motors. The method proposes the utilization of airgap flux harmonics as an effective bridge between the torque design region and the

Design Optimization of the Multi-layer Switched Reluctance Motor to Minimize Torque Ripple and Maximize Average Torque [PDF]

open access: yesAUT Journal of Electrical Engineering
Because of the high torque ripple of the switched reluctance motor (SRM), a novel design optimization method is introduced in the present paper for the multi-layer switched reluctance motor. Using this design optimization method, torque ripple is reduced

Torque Improvement Effect of Reverse-Phase Superimposition for Fault-Tolerance in Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor

open access: yesIEEE Access
This paper presents reverse-phase superimposition method for fault-tolerance in permanent magnet synchronous motor to reduce torque ripple while maintaining torque level. When a motor winding fails, two problems occur: the torque level decreases, and the

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.
