Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

Investigation of thermal field of the limited-angle torque motor
A limited-angle torque motor is the electrical motor which be used in applications with specific requirement of shaft torque. The particularities of work of torque motor are high stability of shaft torque within operating angle. This singularity is based

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

ERα splice variant ERα∆7 lacks the C‐terminus, and its expression may change phenotypes of breast cancers. Our results showed that ERα∆7 is found in the luminal A subtype, and elevated ERα∆7 levels are linked to improved cell survival with lower proliferation and migration.

Design and analysis of double 6/3 transverse flux bearingless switched reluctance motor
A novel dual 6/3 Transverse Flux Bearingless Switched Reluctance Motor is proposed to solve the coupling problem between torque and suspension of conventional Switched Reluctance Motor. The working principle is introduced in detail, the motor is modelled

Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

Cogging Torque Characteristics of a Magnetic-Geared Motor
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to propose a magnetic-geared motor with permanent magnets only on the high-speed rotor as a solution to the problems of magnetic gears. Magnetic gears have some advantages such as no mechanical loss and maintenance-free operation that are not observed in conventional mechanical ...

Improved Direct Torque Control of Induction Motor for Torque Ripple Minimization
A new direct torque control (DTC) method of an induction motor (IM) which minimizes torque ripple $\left ({T_{ripp} }\right)$ while preserving all the conventional DTC advantages is presented in this paper. Large $T_{ripp}$ and current ripple are the main drawbacks of the conventional DTC.

Neurovascular Contacts in the Pathophysiology of Neuralgic Amyotrophy: An Observational Study
ABSTRACT Objective Neuralgic amyotrophy (NA) is a prevalent, monophasic, multifocal immune‐mediated neuropathy. A distinctive characteristic of the disease is the occurrence of nerve or fascicle constrictions and torsions (NA‐associated focal nerve lesions, NAFL). The pathophysiology underlying this phenomenon remains to be fully elucidated.
