Self‐standing, strong sulfonated covalent organic framework membranes with varied ionic‐group density are developed for osmotic energy conversion. Optimized charge‐governed nanochannels enable highly selective ion transport, delivering a power density of 24.53 W m−2 under seawater/freshwater salinity gradients.

Inspired by the octopus and the golden wheel spider, soft robots with liquid crystal elastomer arc fibers as appendages are fabricated to transcend surface constraints through an elevated center of mass and minimal contact footprints. By leveraging curvature‐encoded deformation‐recovery cycles, these robots exhibit contractile, torsional, and flexural ...

Group rings of proper ascending HNN extensions of countably infinite free groups are primitive
We prove that every group ring of a proper ascending HNN extension of a free group with at most countably infinite rank is ...

A hierarchical hydrogel evaporator with a thin, porous photothermal layer of fused core–shell carbon‐polymer nanospheres enables ultrafast interfacial solar evaporation with minimized heat loss and sufficient water supply. Directional advection‐dominated brine transport, coupled with Marangoni‐driven interfacial flow, drives salt away from the active ...

Estimating the 2-rank of Cubic Fields by Selmer Groups of Elliptic Curves
Frey and his coauthors have established a relationship between the 2-torsion of the Selmer group of an elliptic curve of the special formE:y2=x3±k2and the 2-class number of pure cubic fieldK=Q((∓k2)1/3)=Q((∓k)1/3).In the present paper we prove a far ...

A soft–hard tri‐layer composite electrolyte that couples fast Li+ transport with reinforced interfacial stability to enable high‐conductivity, mechanically robust, dendrite‐free lithium‐metal batteries. ABSTRACT The development of solid polymer electrolytes is central to safe, high‐energy lithium‐metal batteries (LMBs); however, persistent challenges ...

Direct Sums of Self-Small Mixed Groups
The class G of self-small mixed abelian groups of finite rank has recently been the focus of a number of investigations. It is known that, up to quasi-isomorphism, G is dual to the category of locally free torsion-free abelian groups of finite rank.

3D conductive frameworks can maintain continuous electron transport, mechanical stability, and interfacial integrity, helping next‐generation batteries operate more efficiently. This Review examines their relevance to Si anodes, all‐solid‐state batteries, and dry‐processed electrodes, and highlights bio‐derived carbons as sustainable, structurally ...

ABSTRACT This study demonstrates that weak magnetic fields (16–40 mT) increase the efficiency of the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) in electrocatalysts based on non‐fullerene acceptor (NFA) derivatives IT‐4Cl and Y6. Electrochemical measurements reveal that the application of the magnetic field reduces the onset potential and increases the current ...

Butler groups and Shelah's Singular Compactness [PDF]
summary:A torsion-free group is a $B_2$-group if and only if it has an axiom-3 family $\frak C$ of decent subgroups such that each member of $\frak C$ has such a family, too. Such a family is called $SL_{\aleph_0}$-family.
