Excited‐State Antiaromaticity in Nonbenzenoid Aromatics: Examining the Dynamics of Intramolecular Proton Transfer With a Small Driving Force

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
The excited‐state antiaromaticity of hydroxybenzotropyliums (HBTs) can be tuned through substituent effects to bring the aromatic ‘enol’ (E) and keto (K) tautomers close in energy. This leads to abnormally slow excited‐state proton transfer (on the ns timescale), giving rise to dual fluorescence emission and weak photoacidity.

Axial torsion as a rare and unusual complication of a Meckel's diverticulum: a case report and review of the literature

open access: yesJournal of Medical Case Reports, 2011
Introduction In 1809, Johann Friedrich Meckel described the embryology of a small bowel diverticulum, which now bears his name. Meckel's diverticulum is the most common congenital abnormality of the gastrointestinal tract, with a prevalence ranging from ...

Role of deformation imaging in left ventricular non-compaction and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy: an Indian perspective

open access: yesThe Egyptian Heart Journal, 2020
Background Speckle tracking echocardiography (STE) has emerged as a novel feasible tool for the assessment of left ventricular rotational parameters. Since hypertrophic cardiomyopathy(HCM) shares morphologic features with left ventricular non-compaction (

Perilipin‐2‐Anchored Lipid Droplet‐Targeting Phototheranostics

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
This study reports two NIR theranostic dyes, C‐BDP‐OH and C‐BDP‐OMe. C‐BDP‐OMe targets lipid droplets via a dual‐anchoring mechanism with PLIN2, enabling wash‐free tumor imaging. With 62.6% photothermal conversion efficiency, it achieves tumor ablation by downregulating PLIN2, disrupting LD‐mitochondria crosstalk, and triggering apoptosis and ...

Abnormal Condition Diagnosis by Observation of Torsional Angles of Crank Shaft

open access: yesJOURNAL OF THE MARINE ENGINEERING SOCIETY IN JAPAN, 2000
The common theme of Shipping industry is to detect abnormal condition of the diesel engine in an early stage and to prevent it from vital accidents for increasing the Safety and the Operation rate of the ship. Although various abnomal condition diagnosis devices have been developed up to the present, in all cases, temperatures and pressures of various ...
