Decomposition of torsion pairs on module categories

open access: yesJournal of Algebra, 2013
In this article, we generalize the concept of torsion pairs and study its structure. As a trial of obtaining all torsion pairs, we decompose torsion pairs by projective modules and injective modules. Then we calculate torsion pairs on the algebra KAn and tub categories.

Torsion Pairs in Triangulated Categories

open access: yesAdvances in Pure Mathematics, 2013
We study the properties of torsion pairs in triangulated category by introducing the notions of d-Ext-projectivity and d-Ext-injectivity. In terms of -mutation of torsion pairs, we investigate the properties of torsion pairs in triangulated category under some conditions on subcategories and in .

General heart construction for twin torsion pairs on triangulated categories

open access: yesJournal of Algebra, 2013
In our previous article, we constructed an abelian category from any torsion pair on a triangulated category. This generalizes the heart of a t-structure and the ideal quotient by a cluster tilting subcategory.

Torsion Pairs in Categories of Modules over a Preadditive Category [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of the Iranian Mathematical Society, 2020
It is a result of Gabriel that hereditary torsion pairs in categories of modules are in bijection with certain filters of ideals of the base ring, called Gabriel filters or Gabriel topologies. A result of Jans shows that this bijection restricts to a correspondence between (Gabriel filters that are uniquely determined by) idempotent ideals and TTF ...

Torsion Pairs in Stable Categories

Communications in Algebra, 2015
Let 𝒞 be a triangulated category. When ω is a functorially finite subcategory of 𝒞, Jotrgensen showed that the stable category 𝒞/ω is a pretriangulated category. A pair (𝒳, 𝒴) of subcategories of 𝒞 with ω ⊆ 𝒳 ∩ 𝒴 gives rise to a pair (𝒳/ω, 𝒴/ω) of subcategories of 𝒞/

Congenital Torsion of the Penis in Father-Son Pairs

Journal of Urology, 1977
Congenital torsion of the penis was observed in 5 newborns, 3 of whom had fathers with torsion of the penis. We believe that this common benign condition may be transmitted as an autosomal dominant trait.

Splitting torsion pairs over pure semisimple rings

Journal of Pure and Applied Algebra, 2015
Let \(R\) be a left pure semisimple ring and \((\mathcal{D,C})\) a splitting torsion pair of the family \(R\)-ind of indecomposable left \(R\)-modules, i.e., a partition of \(R\)-ind such that \(\Hom_R(D,C)=0\) whenever \(D\in\mathcal D\) and \(C\in\mathcal C\).
